A pixel recreation of menu font used in the Genesis/MegaDrive game 'Gaiares'. This includes my ususal additions of inverted question and exclamation marks and curly quotes. However, this font includes a near complete set of Japanese hiragana and katakana characters, all of which are which are actually in the game's code. (Minor changes were made to the colon and semicolon, made to be consistent with the period and comma characters.)
Extra-wide pixel font looks very good. I think you can make horizontal strokes of letters 'I','i','j','l' and '1' wider, in the width of the pinnacle pad or slightly less. Figure '4' needs a sharp beak.
@Sychoff: I appreciate the input, but since this a font from an existing video game, I usually to keep the glyphs consistent with how they appear in the game itself.
Sychoff was looking for deeper changes, but this would change the original style. I think he can fontstruct his own derived work too, with his list of changes, credit and right license… All the more since this YouTube video shows a lot of different glyphs from QXZ's "GaiaLess" (esp. on "4" as Sychoff described - or is it a matter of ROM?).
