A difficult layout, in this typeface! The -supposed- forced positions add to its light style.
I meat: “difficult layout” = some kind of blueprint; “forced positions” = cf. LED segments; “light style” = weight in mind (2x2 checkerboard overlay, technically).
So yes, IMO it's not this easy to design something this legible from a minimalist ordered dither… and you are getting even more skilled from this good "sans in" series.^^
