Ah, yes, now I can see the slight stencil, nice! (Q, # even $ cannot match this purpose FTM.)
Aeolien's "Kerbe" font shows your notches, too. I'd see "PRIMARY" textured in wood (in a sample image).
I agree, this is a delicate stencil. The notches fit the design perfectly. Love those beaks-terminals --- and the @.
