The unassuming functionality of a stencil typeface with stark angles hinting at 1970’s chic. Tyro = learner / beginner ( very apt )

Hey North,
I like the solution you found for R and K.
Also the pointy joints in the X, 8 and &. Why not use thes on other inside joints: 6, 9, even the lower joints of p… ?

Greets,
p

Cheers typerider. Great to get some feedback. I originally started with the R and 4. The pointy ends I was forced to use with the geometric limitations of Fontstruct. I was aiming for the consistency of the other gaps (simple half brick gap). This is my first typeface ever and I am making a sample / specimen sheet to give it a workout.

Fresh and very stylish, and the fact that is a stencil gives this typeface additional functionality!

Very well done, including the sample image!

Nice one :)

For a display font it works really well at pixel level too.

70's? I can totally picture this on a Warp Records release. A really cool font. Well done!

Thanks so much for your feedback. I wanted to to be legible but versatile and have some sense of style.

That specimen looks really good.
I also like the zero character.

Thanks SB. I always wanted to do a zero with the stroke through it.
