A blackletter/frakture font based on drawings from Albrecht Durer's "De Symmetria". The forms are designed to be compact, filling the space available, and so that they don't require kerning or letter-spacing. The display might mimic the lettering found in the Gutenberg bible, which would have employed a similar grid based type style to create a type similar to what might be found in medieval calligraphy.

The Sample Text really shows the compact nature of this design - beautifully executed 10/10

nicely done. i would imagine that is could be used in context with jousting tournaments which would then qualify it for entry in the SportsComp. consider it.

A great font, different from every other fraktur font made with FS. The sample text really enlightens its compact design, characteristic of the medieval typography. A masterpiece.
@ funk_king: you are definitely the coach of the FS Team.

Yet another fine piece of medieval lettering on FS. It does resemble to the Gutenberg Bible, not easy to read, but that's how it was back in the 1450s. Great work. 10/10

Don't forget, if you plan to enter the SportsComp, to add the "SportsComp" tag to yours.

@funk_king: Kudos for your picture of the knights' tournament. A chivalry sport from the high middle ages. Not for the fainthearted.

Any chance of creating some more glyphs for this - like öäüÖÄÜß?
Dürer needs his ü!

@meek - yes I've definitely got that on my plate - I need to re-factor some of the characters and then I'll hopefully at least finish up the extended latin set.

Quaint font! Almost looks like written in ink, really cool!
