This is my first attempt to use fontstruct, which is a project given to me during my first year of studying graphic design at UWE; Bristol. Initially the typeface was inspired by the product of organic decay. I cut out strawberries, apples and tomatoes in the shape of letters and left them to decay on a sheet of paper. When removing them, they left an interesting stained mark on the paper which I used as my basis for the letter forms. Latterly I have used the typeface "Hobo Std" as inspiration because of it's curvaceous body and similarity to the remaining marks of the fruit and vegetables. It is a display font having because of it's better readability on larger sizes. This due to the stained effect as well as the letters are bold.

I really liked how you solved the glyphs in this work. From my point of view, the font would be more readable if you increase the space between words. Just a suggestion, but if you have time maybe you could try. Welcome to FS.

Thank you very much for your comments. How would I increase the space between words, is that the same thing as increasing the space between the letters?

Not exactly. Go to the space character, then click Advanced > View > Character Width then drag the green line to the right to increase space. I love the concept and the letter shapes especially the 'g'.

I increased the space with the green line, I can only see a slight difference though, do you think it is better now? Or should I increase even more? Thank you for your help
