Original NES font used in many classic Nintendo Entertainment System game cartridges, including Super Mario Bros (1985), Mach Rider (1985), Excitebike (1985), Metroid (1986), The Legend Of Zelda (1986), and Castlevania (1987). Includes several alternate characters.

Really good font!!I see you are a very good NES fan. So, i have good news for guys like you if you have a wii, you really have to buy super mario all-stars 25th anniversary limited edition for only 30$!!! the relase is in 2010 holiday!

Thanks for the kind words. There are also other versions of the NES font here on FontStruct; it has become quite a popular video game font to recreate!

The NES font is based on the original video arcade game font created by Lyle Rains for Atari's "Sprinter 2" in 1976. By the late 1970s, other video game companies began using and modifying the characters for their own arcade games:

The K is not accurate, at least when compared with The Legend of Zelda. The top K is made with the font and the bottom is from the game.
