Great job! An advanced understanding of composites and filters is necessary to create these diagonals (e.g. V, 7) that align perfectly across the horizontal stripes. Your solution looks so natural and effortless that most people will overlook the elegant brickwork.

Some character widths could be improved. In the lowercase, ‘m’ and ‘w’ feel overly compressed to me while ‘s’ may benefit from a narrower profile (like the fontstruct logo). The mostly mono-width proportions work for the uppercase, but would ‘M’ and ‘W’ also work better in a wider format? And have you tried making W’s with diagonals like the V’s?

10/10

Thanks! The diagonals were indeed a bit tricky. I tried W with diagonals but it didn't really work, at least in a narrower size. I'll try to adjust the widths.

An excellent design. Well worth a 10/10

Would the following angle work for the W?
Comment by p2pnut 26th october 2012
@p2pnut: no, that's doesn't work with the spaces (V has the narrowest possible angle). Thanks anyway.
