Great work! Love the curly, decorative Q. LC?
Comment by Noah (winty5) 13th January 2013
Thank you, winty5. Regarding lowercase -- not yet. ;-)
Comment by demonics 13th January 2013
I like how its sort of modern and sort of old fashioned. And by "not yet" do you mean your working on it?
Comment by Noah (winty5) 13th January 2013
Thanks again! and by "not yet" I meant I'm considering it. We'll see.
Comment by demonics 13th January 2013
Ok. I might clone this to make a serif version.
Comment by Noah (winty5) 13th January 2013
Oh, I was thinking of that too, but you can still do it!
Comment by demonics 13th January 2013
Maybe we can both do different versions like we did on QQQQQ?
Comment by Noah (winty5) 13th January 2013
This might seem like a normal monospaced font, but it's not. The angle in the A and V seems perfect, the curve of the rounded parts of letters like C, the tail of the Q combines the loop and the plain tail, perfect
10/10+fav

Nice work. I'm waiting for the entire set!

Thanks elmo — I appreciate it. More glyphs coming soon.

Solid and professional! Love the Q.
Maybe the crossbar on A could be a little higher? Just a thought, works as it is too.
Comment by V. Sarela (Yautja) 13th January 2013
Nice work - I realise that you have kept the characters the same width - but this does mean that the M and W look too narrow (this stands out in the sample). Still, 10/10 for the overall design.
Comment by p2pnut 13th January 2013
To tell you the truth Yautja, I like A crossbars so low that I had to convince myself to raise it! :-) So I think I will keep it as is — but thanks for the nice feedback!

@p2pnut // I was wondering when someone would bring that up ;-) This design actually started with the M and W; however, they were even more narrow before as you can see in the sketches! I was experimenting with purposefully clogging up those corners to make it seem more like an old monospaced font. Anyway, thanks for that 10!

Really good, but the name sounds unconvincing. Can you try reconsidering?
Comment by Jamie Place (FontBlast) 13th January 2013
@fontblast // ok.

Like its new name, Legimono sounds cool. Sorry if i'm getting anoying with my repetitive comments.

Thanks! And your feedback is always appreciated, winty5.

Wow, you guys actually do sketches! Cool :)
Will there be lowercase and numbers?

Love these "&" and "@". You should develop your fonts more often!
