Canos is a font designed with circles and ellipses, resulting in a relief illusion. Just like some of the nice crazy fonts of the 70's.

Thank you @p2pnut and @four! It took some time, but it was very fun to design it.

Love the 'Letraset' sample - I used to use it a lot in the bad ol' days :)

Ha ha. I agree with p2pnut. The Letraset sample certainly brings back many memories, of searching through catalogs, ordering the font, then waiting several days for it to arrive, then rubbing those frustrating letters into a perfect straight line, with perfect spacing. One f*ck up, and it was all over!! Oh how things have thankfully changed..... :)

Ahh! those catalogues ... back in the early 60's they were my introduction to the world of typography and directly led to my lifelong interest in this field.

I'm glad it brought those nice memories back for you guys — it means the joke worked ;-)

When I started studying design computers were already dominating it all. But I have some of those old catalogs, and I'm sure they made a lot of people fall in love with type.

Canos wouldn't be an easy font to tranfer, right?

It may have had its heyday in the psychodelic 60's, but I think laying out this one with Letraset would leave you with semi-permanent dots in front of your eyes :)
