I have changed the name. It looks sort of piratey and sort of painted. It looks sort of like letters painted upon a piece of cloth - a pirate flag. The letters look a little choppy and drawn as if drawn on fabric. Uses the new half-arcs.
Basically a light version of zephram’s Madufaros Mini. Not really faithful—some glyphs easily stray from their Madufaros’ ancestors.
Support for Latin, Latin-1 Supplement, General Punctuation, Greek, Cyrillic, Runic, Ogham and partially IPA.
I will probably revisit this once in a while, since I’m still not satisfied with some characters.
This is a clone of Madufaros MiniChronoType is not the first recreation of the original Chrono Trigger font on the web, but certainly the most accurate and comprehensive you'll find.
The font is based on the complete set of the game's official and fan-translated characters and thus also features the Japanese hiragana and katakana alphabets as well as Cyrillic and Greek letters, countless additional stuff like special characters, unique glyphs, and whatnot.
The base font size and recommended setting for ChronoType is 16pt and multiples of that. Use metric kerning and no additional smoothing effects for the ultimate Chrono Trigger experience.
Chrono Trigger on the SNES was developed and published by Square in 1995.
~ ChronoType - created by Caveras after the original main text font used in Chrono Trigger for the SNES. ~
