RUNE GUIDE
Runes are used phonetically, so most of the time you should shorten double-letters to single-letters ("Hello" would become "helo"). All the appropriate runes are bound to the appropriate keys, so you can type freely without worrying about which rune you're using. However, a few runes which represent diphthongs which are unused in Modern English are bound to the SHIFT-number row. They are as follows: !-th, @-eo, #-ng, $-ɶ, %-æ, ^-ia/io, &-ea, *-kk. (-st. Additionally, in Old English, there are two types of "g"s, a soft "g" (which is bound to the "g" key), as in "sage", and a hard "g" (which is bound to the ")" key), as in "saga".

Keys 1-7 also include the different Roman numerals (I, V, X, L, C, D, M), which can be combined to make up a number (from what I can tell, the Anglo-Saxons probably used Roman numerals or tally marks - most likely the former).

A collection of runic characters corresponding to their direct Latin transliterations. The set contains all 33 characters present in the later Futhorc alphabet, and includes voiced/unvoiced instances of F, S, and þ (thorn). The character mapping is as follows: Lowercase chars correspond to their respective runes, except V & Z, which are the voiced F & S. || Uppercase chars are as above for ease of use, with the following changes: A = æ / E = [ea] / G = g (for gone, as opposed to germ) / H = voiced þ (for them) / I = [ia] / K = [kk] / N = ŋ ('ng') / O = œ / Q = kw (old way of expressing 'q' before a specialised rune was developed) / S = [st] / T = voiceless þ (for think) / Y = [eo] || Extra punctuation is included, as well as a combining underscore (for underlining) mapped to the 'pipe' key (SHIFT+\) || Visit futhorc.com to learn how to use these runes phonetically, as would have been done in Old English. Enjoy!

Font for Anglosaxon taking its name from the title of Cædmon's hymn. There are no upper case in insular scripts so Anglo Saxon runes have been substituted.
