Java (Indonesian: Jawa) is an island of Indonesia. With a population of 136 million, it is the world's most populous island, and one of the most densely populated regions in the world. It is home to 60% of Indonesia's population.
Formed mostly as the result of volcanic events, Java is the 13th largest island in the world and the fifth largest island in Indonesia. A chain of volcanic mountains forms an east-west spine along the island. It has three main languages, though Javanese is dominant and is the native language of 60 million people in Indonesia, most of whom live on Java. Most residents are bilingual, with Indonesian as their first or second language. While the majority of the people of Java are Muslim, Java has a diverse mixture of religious beliefs, ethnicities and cultures.
ENJOY...

An 'overly-decorated' display font, that inspired from a culture of Papua ethnicity. Yamko Rambe Yamko is a folk song from Papua that became a children widely-known song in my country.
Suggestions are welcome.
Enjoy :)

My first fontstruction, inspired by Indonesian Culture. It's the Oekir Djepara (read: Oo-Keer Jew-Para (as in Parachute)). Oekir Djepara is known as the best Javanese Carving. It's curvy stroke based on nature's shapes like tree, flowers and leafs. It's for our Typography assignment from Petra Christian University, Indonesia. Please give me critics for my first whole-set basic latin fontstruction. And if you don't mind, vote for my rating. Thanks.
PS: you might want to take a look at Oekir Djepara, just google it "Ukir Jepara".

Sasando Rote typeface is adapted from Traditional Musical Instrument from Rote Island, East Nusa Tenggara in Indonesia "Sasando". The sasando instrument from East Nusa Tenggara’s Rote Island has long been hidden and only visible in books, but the persistence of musicians from the instrument’s homeland is slowly bringing it to the fore. This typeface was made as tribute for indigenous art of music from East Nusa Tenggara.
