This is my first FontStruction while currently studying graphic design at Bristol UWE.
Lots of experimentation solely using paints; quick hand movements and flicks to produce a messy, unrefined effect. Working in less than 1 second for each letter (with real paints), used as reference. Inspired by East Asian calligraphy.

This is a Sessions flavored remix of Saberrider's wonderful Poff font. This is a clone of poff
Q: What's with the name? A: At some point over the holidays, the movie Thunderball was on and I got to thinking about jet packs, Aston Martins, archenemies, Blofeld, SPECTRE and whether Miami is really worth 100 Million in diamonds or if it might have been better just to keep the diamonds instead of trying to save Miami. I mean, at the time of the movie, Miami hadn't even discovered cocaine yet and really wasn't on the map. If I were Blofeld, I would have picked an entirely different city to hold a bomb threat over. It was the sixties after all, take out San Francisco. Incidentally, at one point in the movie Bond finds himself in the Bahamas in the middle of a junkanoo, which is a kind of street fair where folks wear insanely colorful costumes (mostly of feathers) and dance around. Junkanoo! Now that would make a great name for a font. Much better than Thunderball. Is it too late to change the name?
Q: Your recent output - including this clodhopper - seems to be stuck on the 1.8 brick size filter, is your filter toggle stuck or something? A: Your Mom's filter toggle is stuck, buddy! And my next font will be called Clodhopper, and it will be yet another font built at 1.8 and it's going to be big and thick so you'll really feel it when I beat on your skull with it.
Q: Whoa! Touchy. Ok, how about that uppercase 'T', it's awfully funny looking, you gonna change it? A: Oh Boy. You just don't know when to quit, do you? The 'T' began as a spacing compromise but over the last few days it has grown on me - overtaken me really - like some saccharine soaked pop song that I hate but secretly love. So back off on the 'T', it's not going anywhere.
Q: Any last thoughts? A: Blofeld, Junkanoo, Clodhopper - all rad names for fonts that have yet to be born. Q.E.D.

This font originally began as me copying the characters from the game Dino Run, but the font kind of grew out of that and then I started using it for my own game, Chobo+.

Part of my "Found Type" project at UWE where we had to design a font for a theme that we chose.
I chose Saintly.
Throughout my research, I looked at the architecture of churches, the similarities in there designs and how certain shapes could easily be recognised as being linked to that type of architecture.
I then started looking at Dante Alghieri's Divine Comedy and the illustrations by John Flaxman and Gustav Doré.
At first it became difficult trying to figure out how to implement this into a font, but then I took on a challenge,
Would it be possible to get Doré's engravings into the font.
Then another thought crossed my mind, how do images look when compressed to low pixel quality sizes and how they are still recognisable.
So I did that, I bought a book of Doré's illustrations for the divine comedy, and they started to build into the letters.
Each letter also has this Art Deco like area to it which went well for the Stain Glass Window approach I also wanted in the design.
It took a lot of practice to get this right, and there was a fair amount of copy and pasting here and there but overall I'm quite happy with the turn out.
I hope you all enjoy!

This is a pixel font I designed for programming and terminal use at 12pt (or 16pt on Mac).
With this, you can discuss linguistics, advanced mathematics, and APL programming on IRC without the characters going all fuzzy because it had to go to a backup font.

Each uppercase character is made with four tiles, and each lowercase is the composite of those tiles, with the exceptions of H and W, which are different in the upper and lowercase forms. While I highly recommend using only the uppercase, lowercase is there just in case. Enjoy!

I wanted to create a very brutish display type that could be used in a project, my influences were early 1930's fonts like futura black and braggadocio as well as Compacta from the 60's. its yet to be finished.

This is a VERY solid, sturdy font. I was inspired to make this by the "chocobot solid" font. Not only did I make this very sturdy, but you will be amazed when you look at the block size of 4x5!

An update of Curva Old. I fixed up several problems to do with curves in strange places but I kept the old one because the way it was is still a good style. This font and the other one where inspired by a font called Abode and a font called Danube. This is a clone of Curva Old
