My first non-pixel font which is actually more usable. IJ and ij added to improve spacing issues in Dutch. Testing my fausses courbes. (And for the people who like to use simpler gallicisms, that means faux curves.)

Looking good, great curves here!
Comment by Aeolien 5th july 2014
can someone teach me how to do bezier curves? I suck at it!
Comment by h1k765 5th july 2014
Me too, but sometimes you just (seem to) have to do it by instinct.

Shall I prefix my fonts with ꜰʙ or with fb?
Comment by minidonut 6th july 2014
fb definitely.
Comment by opipik 6th july 2014
The thing with beziers is that they have a lot to do with the overall size of the characters. For me, I just practiced and improved the curves as Fonstruct kept adding new features. It just takes practice, and patience. It took me playing around with the faux curves nearly a year to complete Azurite and Ptah.
Comment by TCWhite 6th july 2014
because ꜰʙ doesnt show properly in my browser (and in many others I think)
Comment by opipik 6th july 2014
P.S.: To give you an idea, both of those fonts have a capital height, minus diacritics, of around 100 bricks.

As to the above question: I also like fb. However, if it's your call sign/designer signature, if you will, I would do FB in capitals.
Comment by TCWhite 6th july 2014
P.P.S.: I agree with opipik. Most fonts lack support for small capitals.

somebody seems to have rated 1 ._.
Comment by minidonut 7th july 2014
@minidonut Somebody rated 1 on my last TP recently :((
Comment by Isaac González (1saac) 7th july 2014
I think someone is going around giving everyone bad ratings
Comment by h1k765 7th july 2014
Ignore them. They likely just want attention in any form.

The S/s was a real pain… at least I have something for now.
Comment by minidonut 8th july 2014
And for the Q,K,k,IJ ligature and M? This would be also modified a bit. In particular, the underscore from the Q is much too thick. However this is only my opinion.
Comment by beate 8th july 2014
I'm not an expert with fausses courbes, so I don't have enough experience to fix most of the characters.

Oh, and about the IJ, it is perfectly fine to have it appear as a broken U in Dutch.
Comment by minidonut 8th july 2014
I do not mean fausses courbes. I meant the slopes and ends of M, K and k.
IJ: Maybe, I just think it looks different from the rest.

I'm on vacation right now. I will be FSing less, and I will return on the 15th of August. Happy FontStructing all!
