maybe the upper part of the g needs to be smaller; if that doesn't help, just make a double-storey version instead of triple.

The serifs are because of overshoot problems. triple-story?

People often say double-storey g for the one with two counters, but I prefer triple; I found a good reason here.

I have never found any good reason to call the script g single-storey, and I don't get why people call it like that. (oh, and my handwritten g is triple-storey too, but the top bowl became open after all my quick writing)
