Just looking for Freedback.
i like the stylish A
will you make lowwer case?
u can tag "display" and "bold"
Yeah, I will try, eventually. The more interest it gets, the more I get interested in finishing it.
Welllllso far its useableI wonder if some punctuation would improve legibility of phrase apart from that youve got an attractive latasian design here
*adding a huge "LOL" with all useful punctionalities and a :D for fun*
Yeah, I better add the puncuation, seeing that I just checked and then kerned all the letters that needed it.
OK, I guess I'm feeling pretty happy about this one. Basic Latin is done. Kerning on a couple of issues is done. I doubt it would make into Google Fonts, though. I'm not oriental, and I looked up the font name.
"Yamashiro is a Japanese word with kanji often meaning mountain castle (山城). There are however other kanji spellings. Yamashiro, Kyoto, former town in Japan."
Here, I thought I had just made up a cool word to call it. But I do like the name, so I think I might keep it.
Tell me if you see anything I need to address. I'm going to make it freeware (OFL or CC attribution) as soon as its far enough along. I just don't want anyone cloning it quite yet.
@Aeolien... Latasian? I had to look that one up. LOL
I think I pretty much have kerned the entire lowercase of the alphabet and addressed any issues. But I'm not quite done with the letters, u & q, among others, need to be redressed.
Fixed the &, and kerned it. Ready to go, webfont use OK. Clone it and change it if you'd like.
Added SM & TM signs, some other symbols. No accents or accented letters, no fractions, but Basic Latin, punctuation, Copyright, Registered marks and currency signs... Oh, I need to add the Euro sign... there we go. Added a Bitcoin sign & an extra dollar sign. That will be it.
Nice and trimmed down for an English language website web font, if you need more accented characters, either talk to me about the work or do it yourself.
Ooops, I almost forgot my wife... Who will never use this font, most likely, but in her honor the Polish get a a set of S/s with a cedilla. Just added. Not updating the characters sample graphic image, though.
I think I found the "A" that inspired this whole font, "Gang of Three" by Vic Fieger. I saw it with a couple of other characters (not many) in a Blender 3D flying logo tutorial and really liked the A. I forgot all about it until I starting hunting 3D tutorials again, recently. Vic's version is much better (although it has a slightly limited basic character set)...
