@bluemon, are you okay? (P.S. I’m still making fonts that aren’t ready yet.)

Wow. This is truly my favourite font out of all the fonts that I’ve ever seen on FontStruct! Everything is to my liking: The slope of the “A”s, “V”s, and “W”s, and “X”, and “Y”, the serifs on the letter: “I”, the consistency of shape of “P” and “R”, and you’ve even got something to differentiate the letter: “o” from the numeral: “0”! And it’s also got a great balance between decoration and readability; It would look great in logos and signage, and while you wouldn’t use it as body text in a book or something like that, it still wouldn’t be out of place in a lengthy description of some kind.

Well done. It’s awesome. Do you mind if I clone it and attempt to add some Cyrillic?

oh i was actually planning to add greek and cyrillic myself but yeah sure go ahead (bcz im getting kinda busy and idk if i have enough time)

Cool stuff mate, somehow some of the glyphs remind me of my TYPE-O-NEG4TIVE font, seems they work very wel in a lot less decorative font as well. Well done.

thanks!

a-HA!!! @bluemon I don’t know if you were serious when you said that you used “hax” to get the block size bigger than two (in the comment in my clone), but I did some poking around in FontStruct’s code, and I found a way to make the blocks as big and stretched as I want! That’s going to be so useful. I feel like some sort of evil genius for figuring that out. I wonder if it’s the same way that you do it.

Actually it wont gonna be as useful as you think it will be.

And a far cry from the difference 1x1 as opposed to 2x2 does.

Unless you come up with a new set of bricks it will rather be disapointing insead.

@Sed4tives

Well, okay.

Comment by TH3_C0N-MAN 17th december 2019

The thing is that you remain with a bunch of preset bricks that all still have the same specifications such as stroke weight, radius and other specs, and the fit well with the other provided bricks as well as 2x2. But increasing the aspect ratio any further requires a lot of new bricks to fit these new specs.

Comment by Sed4tives 17th december 2019

I'd pay money for a code mod that allows one to add truly custom bricks into the brick pallet though.

;-)

Comment by Sed4tives 17th december 2019

@Sed4tives

Yeah, I don’t think that’s going to happen. The blocks are integrated into the protocol.

Could you create the new font called Saturdayness?
