Yeah, I know, ay? I kerned about three hundred pairs on my font and it didn’t save any of them.

Beautiful!

?? Merci.

Comment by beate 25th april 2020

Hmmm, delicious as usual, Maestra. Because there is nothing better than stirring the tempo with coffee... Instant favourite and sure winner.

Comment by elmoyenique 25th april 2020

NB: X overlaps some glyfs (A, B, E, K, L...), IMHO.

Comment by elmoyenique 25th april 2020

..."gluphs" (sorry).

Comment by elmoyenique 25th april 2020

..."galhps"... "gryps",,,Ehem, "glyphs"! (applauses).

Comment by elmoyenique 25th april 2020

You're right, the kerning don't work.

Comment by elmoyenique 25th april 2020

I know... that's bad... with other glyphs (A, F, W, V, ...) the distance is too wide… It's a bit tricky ; ))

Comment by beate 25th april 2020

I like "gryps"

@beate - For some reason in the main viewing area above, there appears to be a stray brick either near the bottom right of W or near the bottom left of X; however, it disappears when I increase the font size slider past a certain point, and it doesn't show up for either letter in User Input, regardless of size... (Great design, BTW!)

Comment by Goatmeal 25th april 2020

Mystery solved: the extra brick belongs to the far left side of the a.

Comment by elmoyenique 26th april 2020

@elmoyenique - WOW.  That _IS_ far away from the W & X (!).  :^)

Comment by Goatmeal 26th april 2020

It is very interesting work with contrast, which directs the dynamics of letters in the opposite direction from the tilt. Very actual. Now it is your most fashionable and versatile font. I would rate it 100/10 if I could. I would very much like you to continue doing such experiments.

Comment by Dmitriy Sychiov (Sychoff) 26th april 2020

I noticed that too. But I didn't find anything. Many thanks for you guys!

Beautiful work, wonderful how you often manage to give a handmade-quality to your grid-based fonts.

@Rob

Thank you very much for fixing the kerning function.

@meek: I'm with beate. Thanks a lot, boss.

Comment by elmoyenique 28th april 2020

distinctively beate, and uniquely eclectic. i admire the solutions rendered for the gradually weighted diagonal strokes. i'm rarely concerned about problems with your work because it consistently comes out already hand sanitized and disinfected - without any injections whatsoever. ;-)

Thank you elmo.

Exotic display font playing with high contrast. The reference to future is vague, but it doesn't matter. It's a work of high quality with hallmarks of your style, Beate, all over it. Congratulations. You are one of the winners. 10/10
