I find the tail of the Q a bit disturbing.

Thanks for the feedback. I struggled with the "Q" a little bit, trying to find the right balance on the tail. I think the "Q" looks better in context. (It certainly does look a little odd in the "All Letters" display above.)

Here are some explorations on the design of the tail.

1 is the "Q" as it currently is.
2 is a little shorter tail.
3 is a very short tail.
4 is a simple vertical mark.

I don't really like 4. I think both 1, 2 and 3 work in context. Any preference?

I modified the Q to be somewhere between option 2 and gferreira's recommendation. Shortening both the length and height of the tail slightly. Works well. I'll post some samples later...
