Love it. Some really inventive glyph building going on here that's produced a typeface full of flavor. Love the '3'. I'll take an order of rings and a Milkshake, please.

That's absolutely great and just so readable ... I can almost hear the sizzle of the griddle.

We have both come out with a round ended design on the same day ... but your definitely wins, especially in the characterfulness stakes :)

Thanks afro.

I've been doing a lot of large-grid stuff lately and it was fun to do something on a small scale.

Nice use of the shapes. Great job! :)

My only instant reservation is that the W looks too much like an upside down M.

Nice job! very readable.
Comment by Youssef Sarhan (Youssef) 3rd october 2009
Thanks Youssef. The W was different originally, and for some reason I changed. After your comment, I decided to change it back.

I move the old W the |.

I can see why you're swithering over the w. Both forms have just about equal whimsical charm.

Congratulations on such a handsome result with only a handfull of bricks. Bet you were pleased with the k and x.
Comment by intaglio 3rd october 2009
Thanks intaglio.

Actually I was rather unsure about the k and x. I mean, I think they're good enough by themselves, but I didn't know how well they fit in here. Ultimately, I couldn't do much else to them with the bricks I had available.

My personal faves are the Q, S, a, e, m, n, s, and 3.

this is great. simple and effective. minimal brick usage. maximum impact. nicely retro and very contemporary :)
