I still cant be satisfied with the S and s, any opinions are welcome
Cute font, why isn't it for the competition? The numbers in it are not bad, only the serif at 7 is superfluous, it seems to me, and in such minuscule numbers usually 3 and 5 are lowered down, and 4, on the contrary, is lowered down.
Thank you for your words, I am not satisfied with the curent state, where there is a not really consistent mix of different ideas, like open vs closed gaps or strictly round vs flattened tops and bottoms, wider vs narrower lover case. I have to play some more. Maybe I will put it in competition if I wont come with something different meanwhile.
@Dmitriy Sychiov (Sychoff) you were right about the only serif in whole font. I tend to use it even in my handwriting, but this looks better without it.
Congratulations on your 2nd TP!
Congratulations on your 2nd TP!
Thank you, thank you. I also wanted to congratulate you and all who won the competition, but for some reason that results page does not want to keep me logged in.
Don't worry, these are things that sometimes happen in FS. But you can also do it individually in the sources you prefer (this is what I usually do). Thank you very much for your kind words and compliments.
I am curious what would be peoples opinions about these 3 marked letters. Would it improve the font consistence or make it look silly?
I like the new DEF! And the overall font too.
Thank you for your feedback. I still felt like, I have rushed it back then and did not play enough with ideas.
Hey, this is really good work. I tried making a thin font - "Albireo" and I had a lot of angular glyphs I didn't really like. Your solutions to "s" and "7" are especially elegant. 10/10
@winty5 Thank you for your words. I have seen the Albireo font, it looks nice too and I can understand all the trouble you had with it :-). I would gladly have the angular elements on glyphs like M,N,Z, trouble is to make the connection to round elements at least from distance appear seamless. We can make various slope angles, but only have 1/4 and 1/8 (90° and 45°) arcs to connect to.
Yes, definitely. I've been playing around with and remaking some of the letters, which is a challenging but entertaining puzzle as always
