Bravo
:)
@dan1010: Hahaha...truth is, I manually laid brick by brick until it matched (roughly) my handwriting. All I had was a pixelized guide and a trusty sheet of my penmanship to help me. :)
An Ode to FontStruct
A blank grid of squares,
A vast, empty zone;
Creativity comes,
Ent’ring the unknown.
Then brick by brick,
The tower is grown;
Glyphs will emerge
From many seeds sown.
Selecting, erasing,
Stacks like a drone;
Filling the space with
Sounds of a trombone.
“More Latin!” they cried,
All singing in tone;
The mighty pencil
Zooming like a cyclone.
Perfection will come
Like glass being blown;
When dust has been settled
Emerges a throne.
The font has arrived,
Let this news be known;
A magnificent product,
A win cast in stone.
This is gorgeous!
Just saw this mentioned and want to say that I am impressed by the skill shown in this handwritten font by a 14year old who created such an intelligent well-crafted 'natural' design ... and great poem :)
