This font was based on the word pompous. It was created for a typography brief set in my first year at UWE Bristol. From the word pompous I was inspired to look at black letter fonts and ornate styles of decoration. Any feedback would be appreciated! If you use this font within your work please post a link with your final outcome, as its always nice to see your creation in action! Heres a link to my specemin poster x

wow. this is magnificent and quite an accomplishment. nicely done and well done. not overly done, just right. congratulations and wish you well in your studies.

Medieval and heraldic with a contemporary feel. I particularly like the letter K.

Specimen poster looks fantastic man, great interpretation of the theme. You might wanna change the license so people can't clone it, there are people out there who'll want to pass this off as their own work

Thanks for the heads up, how would you do that?
Comment by Femi_i_r 10th november 2010
The license thing needs to be changed in the drop down menu to 'Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Non Derivative'. People can still download and use your font, but if it's commercial use you get credited for it

A very elegant and detailed fontstruction, and an excellent interpretation of the word pompous.

It's the modern medieval face. :)

Out of all the fonts from last year, this one remains my favourte, it's so sharp, detailed and delightfully simple in some ways. :3
