Inspired by the somewhat thick typeface used for the word "Chevrolet" on Chevy cars and trucks from the '70s through the '90s. Lowercase inspired by Ford "Ranger" truck logotype. Includes a few alternate characters. Suitable for the back of any vehicle...

Not bad! It's about time someone did something like this on FontStruct. IMHO, you might want to try changing the tips of the K... You know, have the strokes on K end like the vertical strokes, instead of in a square. Does that make sense? I didn't think so. Here's a picture to elaborate on my bad description.

@xenophilius: Thanks for the kind words!

After 2+ years of FontStructing, I've begun to feel like I'm stuck in a rut lately -- repeating myself over and over again, desperately searching for any inspiration. (Not that many of my FontStructions were truly original to begin with...) :^)

==========

Thank you for the suggestion. I actually would have liked to have continued the strokes to their natural/logical conclusions (see below), but it would have made the K, R, X, Y & 7 a bit too wide for my tastes.

The original font design used twice as many bricks (~10x10), but then I couldn't use the nice 1/4-circle bricks and was too lazy to use the 2x filter. I scaled everything down to a ~5x5 grid and relied heavily on "composite" & "brick-stack", but a lot of flexibility was lost in the downsize.

As they are now, the "angled" ends seem to complement the style, but your suggestion would totally work as well.

xenophilius's suggestion works visually, but I don't think you can make that brick currently.

@aphoria: You can make xenophilius's terminals by using composites. I'll try to upload an example here; however, I only have access to BMPs at the moment, and I haven't had much success uploading graphics to FontStruct that were not GIFs. I'll try again later if it doesn't work once I have access to a machine with a better graphics program.

(Didn't work with BMPs. Will upload later.)

You are right. I figured it out.

I prefer the suggestions in your sample. It definitely looks better than mine. But at the same time, they are a bit too large, as you said.

For those interested in the composite Aphoria mentioned above...
