As far as UC is concerned. I looked at every other black letter, and based my upper cases around a select few, a bit like you would've done with the lowercase. You have to do about 2-4 different styles of black letter uppercase's before you can really start to develop you own style.
Anyway. There we have it! :-)
10/10!
For blackletter inspiration I always turn to Dieter Steffmann. You should find something in his extensive archive as well.
@elmo // Thank you! More glyphs are on the way!
@AFT // Thanks for the good advice. I know how hard you work on your fonts, and I don't really have that kind of time. But I still strive for the best!
@djnippa // Yep, I was thinking simple. But fugitiveglue may have just convinced me otherwise!
@architaraz // Thanks very much for the suggestions. I'll think about those :-)
@fugitiveglue // I'm on a roll? Wow, I appreciate it :-) So, crazy decorative sounds AWESOME. I may just do that! Thanks! Oh, and I generally do put the cap height lower than the ascenders.
@laynecom // Thank you so much. Dieter's archive is very helpful!
@p2pnut + Yautja // Thanks guys! :-) Even a little encouragement helps.
Thanks so much.
aphoria — Thanks, I think it gives it a light, loose feeling.
