Based on the word 'order', my type design comes from the idea of books. Books are typically ordered neatly on a bookshelf, yet they also have an underlying sense of representing an educated 'order' within society, and in many ways connoting heavily with the court and justice. I found it very hard to get the angles I wanted in relation to the design I had hand drawn and it took me a long time to even try and get it to look vaguely right. It was stressed to me to keep away from pixels, so I had to work with the angles that Fontstruct gave me. Having also been given some feedback, I did some experimentation in terms of making the letters look more like books; using shading, lines and boxes but none of them had a successful outcome so I stuck to what I think looks best and right. There have been many challenges in creating this typeface but I am fairly pleased with the current outcome.

Based on the word ORDER. I narrowed my research down to order & hierarchy in Native American society from around the time the first European settlers arrived only to realise all my preconceptions about their society and ideologies were completely wrong. In short Tribes/Clans of 500 people or less were classified as an 'Egalitarian' Society. Egalitarian: "Believing in or based on the principle that all people are equal and deserve equal rights and opportunities." I hope you like it! Tom UWE Graphic Design Student. (work in progress). This typeface is based around the theme of decay. I was looking into how society and the world is decaying through pollution and such which then lead me to look into the after affects of pollution and waste, what does it look like? I started to burn some materials and photograph them throughout the proccess, I was then able to make letter forms from the imagery I had collected. This is a clone
