This is the writing of the maþla (mathla) language I created. It is spoken by gods and contains magic.

The phonetics and lexems are based on a mixture of Proto-Germanic, Old Norse and my fantasy. It has 26 vowels and doesn't have any b, d or g sounds.

After choosing the theme asymmetric my thoughts went straight to the face of odin,because of the eyepatch, and since odin was the one that gave the germanic tribes their characters (according to the mythology) the idea of basing this font on ancient norse runes was born. I really wanted that feel of rough, stone carved feel, straight lines were a priority, plus I really wanted to give it the sensation of eroded and old. The name futhark comes from the first six letter of the runic alphabet.

Covering the Unicode "Runic" letter set (from U+16a0 to U+16f0), except for the subsets "Tolkienian extensions" and "Cryptogrammic letters". Including Scandinavian runic numerals (number keys, U+0030 to U+0039). Additional runic punctuation marks, alternative glyphs, and private-use characters have been ascribed to free slots in "Latin Extended-D" (U+a7d0 to U+a7de), such as the magical ligature rune Alu or frequent (or, frankly, more aesthetic) alloglyphs for e.g. Kauna, Jeran, Sigel, Ehwaz, Mannaz, Ingwaz, Dagaz/Dæg, Stan, and others. +++ This font has been designed to meet the highest standards of runic aesthetics, glyph regularity and harmony, as well as scientific usefulness. As a specific advantage over other available non-FontStruct runic fonts, this font will always be equal in height to letters of other popular fonts at the same point size (Times New Roman, Linux Libertine), so as not to cause trouble with line height e.g. when writing a scientific paper.

The Yiistrohl adaptation of the Vahlduire alphabet, based on the symbols recorded and analyzed in Valduiri ruins on the Eastern jungle continent of Atiila. The alphabet is very different from english. Because of this, some symbols are paired with keys that have little similarity to the actual symbol. A collection of runic characters corresponding to their direct Latin transliterations. The set contains all 33 characters present in the later Futhorc alphabet, and includes voiced/unvoiced instances of F, S, and þ (thorn). The character mapping is as follows: Lowercase chars correspond to their respective runes, except V & Z, which are the voiced F & S. || Uppercase chars are as above for ease of use, with the following changes: A = æ / E = [ea] / G = g (for gone, as opposed to germ) / H = voiced þ (for them) / I = [ia] / K = [kk] / N = ŋ ('ng') / O = œ / Q = kw (old way of expressing 'q' before a specialised rune was developed) / S = [st] / T = voiceless þ (for think) / Y = [eo] || Extra punctuation is included, as well as a combining underscore (for underlining) mapped to the 'pipe' key (SHIFT+\) || Visit futhorc.com to learn how to use these runes phonetically, as would have been done in Old English. RUNE BY SWEETMICHAEL is based on the Germanic Futhark runic alphabet.There are only 22 letters in the Futhark, plus three letters we do not have in the English alphabet. Two special letters are placed in $ and % . $ will give you ING. (The letter Ng) % will give you TH. (The letter Thorn) X,V,C and Q do not exist in the Futhark so take note below. X will give you KS. (Ie. Box becomes Boks) V will give you W aVoid the sound. C and Q will give you K. Odin (The blank Rune) is SPACE. There is a full stop. and the numbers 1 to 10 are represented with 0 being 10 as thay had no 0.
