Gothic inpired font for Unburied game with monospace digits
A medieval pixel font created for use in the graphic adventure game "Quest For Infamy" by Infamous Quests, (C) 2012-2014. Designed for fantasy / RPG-style video games. Uppercase letters inspired by: various German Blackletter, Old English, and Uncial typefaces; "Deutsch Gothic" by James Fordyce; "1454 Gutenberg Bibel" by John H. Schmidt; "Goudy Medieval" by Mentor Type; "Black Castle MF" by Rick W. Mueller; "Two For Juan" by Nick's Fonts; and Exidy's video arcade game "Venture" (1981). Numerals inspired by various Old English and Gothic typefaces.
In 1981, Konami introduced the worlds first side scrolling shooter video game, called Scramble. This game took many quarters from me as it was a regular stop walking home from school to play. It had forced scrolling from right to left with a fighter jet infiltrating harsh terrain and enemy bases. In 1987, the company Irem produced R-Type - a side scroller with heavy graphics that was like Scramble on Steroids. The fighter crafts had different weapon capabilities that could be upgraded. Originally, the "R" series of spacecrafts stood for "Ray," like ray gun. RayType Alpha represents a time in between Scramble and R-Type, with RayType Alpha representing the first alpha version of the series. In my game, each letter becomes a chamber in the enemy's giant spacecraft environment. The spaceship must fly through each chamber, shooting down turrets and projectiles, while collecting powerups dispersed on specific locations of only certain letters. Like StepWyze, This is also an actual game (proof of concept only) that is unfinished, but I will post a link as soon as I have enough playable elements coded in. This font is heavily packed, maximizing the GameComp-required 48 grid spaces. 12.02.14 Game Uploaded!
This is a cloneA recreation of the Super Mario Maker font. Now with lowercase characters and accents! UPDATES: Sep 13, 2015: I've also been made aware that the '7' has changed between the promotional material and the actual game. I've updated the actual '7' to reflect the in-game character as it is more legible. The '7' in the promotional art is now taking the place of the Dagger (†), because honestly, who uses that? In all seriousness, if anyone can suggest a better home for it, I'm all ears. Sep 17, 2015: Found a reference for the letter 'J' and updated accordingly. Nov 12, 2015: Several glyphs have been updated! Notable changes include the ugly old '*' being changed into a star, and the '†' being changed into a crown, as well as several minor tweaks here and there.
This is a clone of Super Mario MakerDon't worry, this is not a font, this is a picture game. Please, type any uppercase character in the user input window from A to T, then the same character but in the lowercase and then press the space before repeat the operation with other character that you want: Aa (space) Bb (space) Cc (space)... And... Surprise! Here you are my crazy pixel friends. After this, you can mix the characters and play a little bit more creating some funny "monsters": Bd (space) Hp (space) Pt... There are 400 variations to try. Enjoy them!
Large font used in numerous Atari video arcade games, 1984-1987. As the original font uses three different colors for a font-smoothing effect, I attempted to replicate it in two-color by using differently-sized squares. Not sure how well that works; as such, any suggestions are welcome. Best below 20 pt.
