When I first heard the theme of ‘Continuous’ I thought of pieces of string or pipelines. I was going to incorporate this element of solid continuity into my font. However I decided to express continuity through negativity. I highlight areas of letters that are not usually focused on as the main criteria. I paid attention to the corners, as they have proven vital in forming legibility. In a way, I was experimenting with what is the absolute minimum required to provide legibility.

A font with "shadows" below each letter. Caps have a thicker shadow and punctuation has none.

This typeface is defined by its bold, black triangles found in every character. It has high contrast through the use of thick and thin strokes. The thin strokes help create an outlined, but transparent shadow that gives it a stenciled/carved look. Shadow Point is a decorative typeface, best used for headlines and expressive text. It is not recommended for body text.
