my take on the classic nintendo NES font. this is an amalgam of some of the type used in the early games like super mario bros, duck hunt, wild gun man and legend of zelda. i further added a handful of special characters, trying to match the style of the existing letters.

Recreation of the font used in nintendo's classic "super mario brothers 2" ("super mario USA", 1988). All alphanumeric characters are straight from the game (with the exception of "Q", which i tried to keep in a matching style), while all other characters are generic versions I included to make the font a bit more useful. UPDATE: fixed the "q" to match the one found in the game ROM.

Recreation of the primary pixel font used in Nintendo's "Super Mario Brothers 3" (1988) on the NES. This font is used for the majority of the incidental text in the game (1/2 player game selection at the start, messages at the end of each course, etc but notably not the score counter). Only the characters present in the game's ROM have been included.

Recreation of the secondary pixel font used in Nintendo's "Super Mario Brothers 3" (1988) on the NES. This font is used for the text panels in the "toad houses". Also included are the slightly smaller numbers used for the score/coin/time/lives counters. Only the characters present in the game's ROM have been included.

Recreation of the pixel font from the japanese release of Nintendo's "Super Mario Brothers 2" (1986) for the Famicom (later released outside of Japan as "Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels"). Note the thin "L" and small numerals. Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included. This is a clone of Nintendoid 1
