This is a simple font I created to accompany an RPG resource - a fictional language called Darkic. It's based on the futhark alphabet, but with a number of changes. There are no letters c, q, x or z. The only capitals linked to a Darkic letter are A, E, G, O, S, H, U and Y. Numbers 0-7 are used for Roman numerals (0, I, V, X, L, C, D, M, in order). The only Darkic punctuation is a small diamond used as a hyphen and a cross used as a full stop. Keys that don't produce a Darkic letter or number will all give one of these two punctuation marks.
Great, a new fictional language has its own font, are you creating the game? This gives me ideas ...
Hi Aeolien, it's actually for a game resource rather than a full game. It's to add some flavour to a fictional place I'm developing as a setting for Call of Cthulhu-type scenarios. Hopefully, though, people will be able to use it in their own game settings too!
Nice Runic Flavour
Thanks Brynda! This is very much a "My First Font" but I had fun making it and I'm pleased with the result - I must say I'm impressed with fontstruct.
With this intriguing design you made a great entry into FontStruct; sorry I hadn't welcomed you to FS. It's where creative minds flourish and fonts like yours come alive :) Do participate in the "ReverseCompetition" !
