Recreation of the secondary pixel font from Pack-in-Games/Nihon Bussan's "Die Hard" (1990) on the PC Engine/Turbografx-16. This font is used for the dialog boxes.

This font includes a full set of hiragana and katakana characters. In the tile set, the dakuten and handakuten are separate tiles, positioned after the character they relate to. In this recreation, these characters are pre-combined into a single glyph.

Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Recreation of the pixel font from Capcom's "SonSon II" (1989) on the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16.

This font includes a full set of hiragana characters. In the tile set, the dakuten and handakuten are separate tiles, positioned after the character they relate to. In this recreation, these characters are pre-combined into a single (16px wide) glyph.

Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Recreation of the pixel font used on the title screen of the western release of Hudson Soft/Compile/NEC's "Blazing Lazers" (aka "Gunhed", 1989) on the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16.

The original tile set only included the numbers "1", "8" and "9" (for the copyright notice). This recreation includes the remaining numbers, made in roughly the same style. Beyond that, only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Recreation of the title screen font from Hudson Soft/Atlus/Red's "PC Genjin" (aka "PC Kid", "Bonk's Adventure", 1989) on the PC Engine/Turbografx-16.

Fairly standard, but note some of the quirkier details in the "Q", "W", "Y", "Z" and "0".

Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Recreation of the pixel font from Data East's "Silent Debuggers" (1991) on the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16.

This font contains an almost complete set of hiragana and katakana characters. In the game's tileset, the dakuten and handakuten are separate tiles, and positioned in the line above the character they relate to. In this recreation, these characters are pre-combined into a single glyph.

Apart from these, only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Recreation of the primary pixel font from the Red/Naxat/Hudson Soft game "Air Zonk" (aka " PC Denjin Punkic Cyborg!", 1992) on the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16.

This font contains an almost complete set of (very quirky/stylised) hiragana and katakana characters. In the game's tileset, the dakuten and handakuten are separate tiles, and positioned in the line above the character they relate to. In this recreation, these characters are pre-combined into a single glyph.

Apart from these, only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Recreation of the pixel font from Naxat/Compile's "Seirei Senshi Spriggan" (1991) on the PC Engine.

The game includes two sets of numerals - regular and "fancy", with extra detail on the "0", "2", "4" and "5". As the fancy version is used in-game, it's the one that was included in this recreation.

Note the addition of the "black right-pointing double triangle" (U+23E9), "black circle" (U+25CF), and the stylised "A" - which doesn't seem to be used in-game, but is likely a remnant/carry-over from Compile's "Aleste" (1988) - mapped to "greek capital letter alpha" (U+0391).

Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Recreation of the menu font from Konami's "Castlevania: Rondo of Blood" (aka "Akumajō Dracula X: Chi no Rondo", 1993) on the PC Engine.

Note the skull character is mapped to "black smiling face" (U+263B). The original has a subtle amount of antialiasing, which has been omitted in this recreation.

Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
