This typeface is defined by its bold, black triangles found in every character. It has high contrast through the use of thick and thin strokes. The thin strokes help create an outlined, but transparent shadow that gives it a stenciled/carved look. Shadow Point is a decorative typeface, best used for headlines and expressive text. It is not recommended for body text.

When looking at the theme of ornate, I was immediately drawn to decorative objects, such as; lace and embroidery, but also the idea of adding to something, and making it with care. I think henna designs encompass all the themes I thought were important. By only taking aspects of henna designs the letters appear as patterns as well

This is a decorative font that I made for a typography class. I make no claims that it works. Enjoy!

Happy spring time and floral Easter-Ostara greetings !
This is a work in progress; as it will get a few more flowers on LC you might want to check back in a month or so ;)

Elegane is a response to the theme 'decorative'. It is a very french looking font, as it explores a quirky elegance, inspired by the illustrations of Walt Peregoy. I looked at Parisian culture and lifestyle. Architecture and interior style was very much a key influence as it is typically fanciful, ornate and decorative. The font is heavily influenced by floral design and is more of a display font, especially when used in a larger size as the structure of the circles becomes more apparent and therefore modernises it's appearance.

This font is based off of the word 'Systematic'. I began by looking at things that have a systematic way of working, this included: the nervous system, solar system and computer systems. Whilst the computer system route was one I wanted to pursue, I found that the initial sketches were lacking. So I moved to solar systems, through quick sketches and research I found solar system models and decided to base my font around those. The circles and lines add an aesthetic element. This font is more decorative font.
