Recreation of the alternate large pixel font from Nintendo's "Super Metroid" (1994) on the SNES.
This font is used for the initial "The last metroid is in captivity. the galaxy is at peace..." message at the start of the intro, and for the end screens and credits.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
Recreation of the primary pixel font from Konami's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist" (aka "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist", "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Return of the Shredder", 1992) on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis.
The game uses a crisp, non-antialiased version of the same font used in the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (1989) and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time" (1991) arcade machines. The same font was also used in the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time" (1992) Super Nintendo port.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
Having grown quite font of recreating video game pixel fonts, I did yet another one: the font used in the SNES classic Super Punch-Out!!
Quarlow is my most extensive font to date, featuring over 850 glyphs based on the characters appearing in the game. It comes with a whole hiragana & katakana set as well as a cyrillic base character set, countless added characters and all of the more common special characters, diacritic characters, etc.
The base font size and recommended setting for Quarlow is 16pt and multiples of that. Use metric kerning and no additional smoothing effects for the ultimate punch-out experience.
Super Punch-Out!! on the SNES was developed and released by Nintendo in 1994. I picked the name of the font (Quarlow) after one of the many quirky opponents you face in the game.
~ Quarlow - created by Caveras after the original font used in Super Punch-Out!! for the Super Nintendo. ~
Recreation of the primary pixel font (used for the title screen and highscores) from Rainbow Arts/Factor 5's "Turrican" (1990) and "Turrican II" (1991) on the Amiga. Note the special characters mapped to "lightning" (U+2607), "skull and crossbones" (U+2620) and "black heart suit" (U+2665).
The same font - with a reduced number of special characters - was also used in "Mega Turrican" (1993) on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, and the first "Super Turrican" (1993) on the SNES.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
Cloned from Patrick Lauke's font Super Mario World Big.
This is a clone of Super Mario World BigRecreation of the proportional version of the pixel font from Square/Nintendo's "Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars" (1996) on the SNES.
Some of the characters - "g", "j", "p", "q", "y", "?", and "!" - are different, compared to the monospaced variant. This font also includes additional characters - copyright, parentheses, left/right single quotes, "~", and japanese quotation marks.
In game, the font has antialiasing. This is not included in this version of the recreation.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
Recreation of the alternate small pixel font from Nintendo's "Super Metroid" (1994) on the SNES.
The numbers are used in the game itself (for the energy, rocket, and bomb counters). The letters are used for the end credits.
Note that the "Q" and "Z" didn't feature in the credits, so they're my custom additions.
Apart from these, only the characters used in the game have been included.

Updated 07/2017 because the ampersand was missing a pixel...
Recreation of the pixel font from Quintet/Enix's "ActRaiser" (1990) on the SNES.
This font includes a full set of hiragana and katakana characters. In the tile set, the dakuten and handakuten are separate tiles, positioned on the line above the character they relate to. In this recreation, these characters are pre-combined into a single glyph.
The japanese version of this game features subtly different punctuation. This recreation only includes the punctuation marks from the western release.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
Recreation of the variant of the proportional pixel font from Square/Nintendo's "Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars" (1996) on the SNES.
Compared to the more common version of the proportional font, this variant - used primarily in the inventory tutorial at the start of the game - omits/crops the 1px outline on the left-hand side of many of the characters.
This recreation uses the special TTF+SVG format, which currently has limited support. For a monochrome version, see this recreation.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
This is a clone of Super Mario RPG (Proportional) (Colour)This beautiful font is a recreation of an original font appearing in the SNES strategy game Romance of The Three Kingdoms IV: Wall of Fire, released as Sangokushi IV in Japan. It's my second Koei font recreation after Ishmeria (from the game Gemfire) and I think it's a very pretty and stylish font.
The character set of Sangoku4 includes a vast array of additional diacritic variants, number variations, bonus characters, unique glyphs, and also full sets of the Japanese hiragana and katakana alphabets from the original Japanese version of the game.
I recommend to use this one with font sizes that are multiple of 16pt and avoid any font smoothing or anti aliasing methods.
