IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS FONT IS NO LONGER BEING WORKED ON. I HAVE A BIGGER FONT TO WORK ON FOR THE TIME BEING.
YOU ARE FREE TO CLONE AND FINISH THIS FONT IF YOU WANT.
Finally done. Phew! It took two days to make this. This is a full collection of 5×7 Dot Matrix characters as seen on many devices, like Texas Instruments calculators. A lot of these are custom. Sources include TI-83, TI-86, TI-89, Casio Monochrome Graphing Calculators, Casio fx-115ES PLUS, and the rest, I created them myself. I included fractions for those themes on Microsoft Office don't have matching "1/3" and other fractions with the "1/4", "1/2", and "3/4". The fullwidth characters are substitutes for the other characters in the regular style, such as the math "x" and "y" from Casio.
Please note that character sets like Arabic and some Math Operators are beyond 5×7 pixels. If you want to know why? Because Arabic is very big and if I put it all in 5×7 pixels, the text will look weird, won't really fit inside, and there would be no point to it. I left it as is. Roman Numerals cannot fit if you were doing the "VIII" character, for example.
Enjoy!
8/28/2019: Font created.
1/7/2020: Added characters in the following form: Fullwidth and Halfwidth are used for making TI-73 Explorer characters, plus actual monospace setting characters. Note that Runic, Tagalog, and Hanunoo are replaced with character variants. The last variation of a character is from Minecraft's font. The fractions are also changed to level the line spacing. The wide "M" is never ever for use on Monospacing.
1/8/2020: More variations are added, extended to replace Buhid. I also added other math symbols and more. To type x̄, press unicode shortcut and type 01b2. To type ȳ, press unicode shortcut and type 01b3. I also added over a hundred, or two hundred, more characters to stock up on the font. Oh and I changed the filters to separate the pixels for a more pixel and retro look. Also fixed the spacing on the "Щ" character.
9/8/2020: Added a bunch of more characters to the font set.
8/25/2023: fixed the license so that the download works now.
This is a faithful recreation of the original font used in the SNES RPGs developed by Quintet. There is already a popular font based on the game called Lunchtime Doubly So, but that one has none of the special characters used in the European localizations of the game, and also none of the original Japanese characters.
This trademark Quintet font appears in all their SNES RPGs (namely Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, and Terranigma), but with many little differences depending on the game at hand. Gaiatype is a recreation of the Terranigma typeface variant, to be exact, with its own spacing and character set.
Featuring all the European diacritic and extra glyphs as well as a complete set of all the hiragana and katakana characters from the original version of the game, called Tenchi Souzou in Japan, this marks my most extensive font to date with over 760 glyphs in total.
The base font size and recommended setting for Gaiatype is 16pt and multiples of that. Use metric kerning and no additional smoothing effects for the ultimate Terranigma experience.
Terranigma on the SNES, known as Tenchi Souzou in Japan, was developed by Quintet and released by Enix in 1995.

A fairly obscure video game font for you, this being the serifed font from thte 'Puyo Puyo' series of video games (if that name sounds unfamiliar, these games were reskinned in North American and released as 'Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine' and 'Kirby's Avalanche'.)
The base alphabet, numbers, and several punctuation are all authentic to the game (the inverted ? and ! are always easy to make, which is why I always include them, even if not a part of the game proper). However, there's plenty of custom glyph work here with the punctuation and the accented lettering.
Enjoy!
WWareTypeB is another recreation of one of the many stylish WarioWare: D.I.Y. pixel fonts. This recreation includes over 400 characters, among them the most common diacritic letters and several special characters.
The font is a 1:1 rebuild based on WarioWare: D.I.Y. for the Nintendo DS and appears exactly as in-game. I added countless of common characters and some gylphs that don't show up in the game or font rip.
This is only the first of several WarioWare fonts I have planned to redo. The base font size and recommended setting for WWareTypeB is 11pt and multiples of that. Use metric kerning and no additional smoothing effects for the ultimate WarioWare pixel experience.
WarioWare: D.I.Y. for the Nintendo DS was developed by Intelligent Systems and Nintendo SPD, and published by Nintendo in 2009.

C64 character set for Gauntlet and The Deeper Dungeons (DD) games. Found a few odd characters that don't get used in the game, and others only used in DD for when the player's picked up a hidden potion (e.g. extra armour, extra shot strength).
Presenting Nintendo's Clu Clu Land (aka. Vs. Clu Clu Land/Welcome to the New Clu Clu Land), released in 1984 for the NES, FDS and Arcade and 1988 for the FDS. This font is similar to Donkey Kong Classics. This font is part of Nintendoid. and This game is a part of Animal crossing, which was titled (Clu Clu Land D, aka. Clu Clu Land Disk).
This is a clone of Donkey Kong Classics (NES) (Extended)Presenting Capcom's Mega Man 3 (aka. Rockman 3: Dr. Wily no Saigo?!), released in 1990. This font is not similar to Mega Man 3+4, but it is similar. This was based on Mega Man Series.
This is a clone of Mega Man 3+4It's the fancy cursive font from "resource2.dat" from Cube World. Turns out, its actually the 'Venice' font by Susan Kare & Bill Atkinson from the original classic Macintosh, so I've added all the remaining characters from the original font which the cube world version didn't have.

Presenting Nintendo's Excitebike (aka. Vs. Excitebike), released in 1984 for the FC, NES and Arcade, and 1988 for the FDS. This was based on Excitebike Series. This font is a part of Nintendoid 1.
This is a clone of Nintendoid 1Another video game font, this one taken from Tad Corporation's 1989 arcade game 'Toki'; this same font would be used by Tad in the 1990 game 'Blood Bros.' Aside from smart quotes and the inverted question and exclamation marks, this is a straight glyph dump.
Recreaction of the in-game font from Koei's strategy games Nobunaga's Ambition and Romance of the Three Kingdoms. This includes a basic (but slightly incomplete) set of hiragana and katakana glypns. Aside from my usual inclusion of smart quotes and inverted ! and ?, this is a straight glyph dump.
Wizard, platform game for the Commodore 64. This font replicates its pixelled medieval character set at its usual size. After first doing a monospaced version, cloned it to make a proportional font and have tried to set reasonable kerning of character pairs. Some redefined characters in the game also appear here...
This is a cloneI found a font rip from "Footballer of the Year" and the upper case letters were identical to Gauntlet, so I took the lower case ones and added them. Have called it "Gauntlet Potion" as "Gauntlet Deeper Dungeons" was too long. I don't really care for the lower case letters that much... it's here if anyone wants it for variety.
This is a clone of GauntletTriad published by Livewire. One of the first games I ever played on the C64 back in 1985, loaded this up off tape - probably the first game I ever mastered and advanced through the levels. And the first place I ever heard Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor :)
Another Commodore character set. From Summer Games II's Fencing event, this is the font that appears on the computer terminal. Upper case, digits and full stop only. It's also correctly monospaced as the terminal is meant to be an early 1980s machine. G and Q will touch adjacent characters, that's by design.
Fell back on this as I want to work with curves BUT they're kind of limited. I work in 1x1 pixel space but I want a curve that can span a 2x2 space. At the moment Fontstruct doesn't let us scale a brick up in size, only downward (i.e. composite bricks)... so the only curves you can do, your letters look like rounded rectangles.
Character set from Impossible Mission loading screen on the Commodore 64. Original contained glyphs for A-Z capitals and digits 1984 only.
Have used some of the angular blocks to create smoother characters, while using the original pixelled versions for lower case. This could do with some extra work to improve it, if anyone else wants to have a go then feel free to clone it :)
This is a cloneWhat a horrible night to have a font!
This font adds upon the font "Castlevania 2" by Patrick Lauke. I am a coder, and simply can't use fonts without their having all the necessary symbols. I did this very quickly, and it may be inaccurate or imbalanced so feel free to take it and remix it yourself!
This magical typeface was lovingly hand-cloned from the Commodore 64's construction platformer "Ultimate Wizard", using the game's exact sizing and spacing. I've added square brackets and a backslash, which are not actually present in the game.
The base font from the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive game Beyond Oasis (AKA The Story of Thor). It's another straight glyph dump with my usual additions of smart quotes and inverted ? and ! symbols; an @ sign (not found in the actual game) has also been added based on the game's copyright symbol.
Enjoy!
Presenting Ascii's Penguin-kun Wars (aka. Penguin Wars), released both consoles in 1985: NES and Arcade. This font is similar to Penguin Wars.
