The Renraku font by caveras is an awesome reproduction of the text found in Shadowrun for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive.
However, exact comparisons to his font and all the characters in the game revealed that a few of them were slightly off.
The at (@), lower-case q, asterisk (*), underscore (_), and plus (+) have been fixed to look exactly like the game. Also, I changed the dollar sign ($) into a nuyen symbol and the vertical line (|) into an arrow.
I used tiles extracted from the game itself as a reference.
To perfectly reproduce text found in Shadowrun, use this at 6 point regular. This is a clone of Renraku

Recreation of the pixel font from Taito/Toaplan's "Zero Wing" (1989), which became (in)famous for its "all your base are belong to us" intro sequence from the Sega MegaDrive port (1991).
This recreation includes the additional special characters (including the slightly altered "?") and a handful of lowercase letters (from the title screen) of the console version.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set (for the arcade version) and used in-game (for the console port) have been included.

This font is an extended 1:1 rebuild of the main text font used in the Shadowrun game for Sega Genesis. I have added some common characters, diacritics, and other gylphs that don't show up in the game.
The base font size and recommended setting for Renraku is 8pt and multiples of that. Use metric kerning to keep the monospace layout and avoid additional smoothing effects for the ultimate pixel experience.
Shadowrun on the Genesis was developed by BlueSky Software and released by Sega in 1994. I picked the name of the font (Renraku) after one of the most notorious corporations appearing in the Shadowrun setting as well as in the game. The reason I rebuilt the font is that I needed the original appearance in an indie game project of my own.
~ Renraku - created by Caveras after the original font used in Shadowrun for the Sega Genesis. ~This is a clone
