The forum for all suggestions and ideas for the future of FontStruct.
This is a clone of fm FontStruct SuggestionsThis is an unofficial forum I have made for FontStruct tutorials and educational materials. Want to know how to do something, or how to make a certain style or effect? This is the place to ask. I am not part of staff, and am far from being the most advanced user on here, but will pass on whatever I can.
I have been writing an FS video series for some time, but it has proven very time-consuming to make the series as comprehensive (and as high-quality) as I would like. It has also occurred to me that I can teach a lot through simple text and graphics. This is my attempt to create a knowledge hub for FS where all the good stuff is in one place. If you make a tutorial or expand on mine in some way, you're welcome to post those here as well.
Please keep the discussion topical. This page is about tutorials, requests and discussions for them, etc. Idea Soup is more of a free-for-all and anything FS-related is accepted there. Idea Soup is also a good place to discuss tutorial ideas, since we can work out exactly what needs to be taught there without clogging the comment section here. (There is a limit on the number of comments this page can have, right?)
This page is open to users of all languages, but we may have to use Google Translate to answer you. Sorry in advance for any bad translations :D

This font was created around the theme of decay. I took inspiration from shapes and forms within the pieces of a badger's spine and manipulated them to construct the alphabet. Here is my blog :) > http://hollydennis.tumblr.com/ website> www.hollydennisdesign.com
WebFont is SIL Open Font License freeware (version 1.0). If you like it for a website, you can use it as a web font. You can clone it, download it, whatever. Hopefully, if you use it as a web font, you will add a link to my site, Font-Journal (https://www.Font-Journal.com), in the credits of your website or blog (professional sites & blogs give credit for the resources used that aren't theirs), if you use it or distribute it, but that is not required.
You can edit, modify, append or do whatever you need to do with this font, including using it commercially or in creating your own art/graphic works, even a new version of the font as long as all further redistributed derivatives use a new reserved font name and remain under the same "SIL Open Font License".
This is a freeware font, it should never be sold, unless it is included as bonus freeware part of a paid collection. WebFont is FREE.
Supports a large latin character set (lots of latin), with extras like the Copyright, Trademark, Tel: symbols, currency signs and an assortment of little Dingbats. I try to use Dingbats for the UI when I design websites, so I included a few without weighing the font down too much, it still loads quickly. Loading a vector based font for UI stuff is a lot easier and quicker than loading graphic files.
Any questions, character requests? Go ahead and ask!
If you see anything that needs to be addressed, be sure to shout out at me, I'll see if I can fix stuff. - Doug Peters, Symbiotic Design

A FUTURISTIC LETTER “A”!!
MY FUNNY LETTER “K”!!
AN OVER-EXTENDED EM DASH!!
WEIRD UPSIDE-DOWN CYRILLIC LETTERS THAT NOBODY’S HEARD OF!!
IT’S ALL HERE IN MY NEW FONT — ALDRON.
I THOUGHT THAT THIS FONT NEEDED MORE ATTENTION THAN THE ONE THAT I CLONED IT FROM, WHICH WAS MADE IN A COUPLE OF HOURS. AS WELL AS ADDING THE LATIN AND GREEK ALPHABETS, I MADE A FEW ADDITIONS AND ADJUSTMENTS TO THE CYRILLIC LETTERS AS WELL AS SPACING. AND UNLIKE ITS PREDECESSOR, THIS ONE IS KERNED.
IT WAS QUITE A DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE, ACTUALLY, ADAPTING A CYRILLIC FONT FOR LATIN INSTEAD OF VICE VERSA.

This is a clone of FontOut5This typeface is inspired by a traditional chicken noodle street food store in Indonesia. I want to make this typeface as simple as possible but also appealing in people's eyes. The chicken noodle contain noodle, minced chicken, chicken dumpling and of course some fried crispy pangsit. In each every stroke of the typeface there something sharp at the middle and that's represent the fried pangsit and also the typeface that i made is rather slim and semi elastic that represent the thin and almost chewy noodle.
