I live in Auckland, New Zealand. I could be accused of having curiosity a mile wide and an inch deep (something Americans are accused of). I'd be good at gameshows -- I have a smattering of knowlege in a lot of subjects. I used to be able to identify zillions of fonts at a glance but passing fashions and Father Time are fighting over which gets to defeat me first.

A semi-softy-sans. It would be nice to terminate those square-ended glyphs like s and c with a wispy bit. But the 1.5 x 1 scheme makes it not-doable.

Getting towards a believable humanistic modular design. Well, to me at least...

I will set myself these impossible and perverse challenges. U/C to follow if I don't go cool on the whole thing.

My but this game is addictive. I wasn't going to bother with a l/c but couldn't stop myself. When am I going to give in with those diagonals...

The L/C is going to be a right bastard. I don't know if I've got the fortitude to continue...

Warbling away to the same hymnsheet. I figure if I'm going to fritter away time on these fractured faces I might as well make them super economical. Get them out quicker. Ha ha. Hence I don't think there's enough headroom for a convincing lower case.

This is how "solidad" started out but I kind of like this version too. It's less formalised. Not finished. Can't decide if the variations are exceptions or abberations. I'll have to view a whole bunch of it together.

It's not until you set a few lower-case sentences that the dystopianism comes into play.

I'm shameless. I'll display even the most half-baked thing I come up with. This program comes to you courtesy of the letter g... the only glyph I like.

If I could get it a bit less square it would look vaguely preraphaelite...

This is half-baked, but hey. I'm (reluctantly) going to have to forego some of those pesky diagonals because they're looking just a shade on the wrong side of weird. Particularly in the caps.

Yes, I've done that on some of my fonts, depending on the scale. I should give it a go, I suppose -- but you know me. Most of my fonts are quickset concrete. I can't be bothered getting out the drill.
Onwards and upwards. Well, sideways anyway.

a silly sixties-style font. I've got a different notion for the l/c characters which I've yet to get to.

I derive a lot of amusement extracting round forms from straight sections. Don't ask me why.
