F.F.M. (ANGEL DUST) — Futurist constructivism style lettering
═══════════════════════════════════
Digitization of a typeface for one of my all-time favorite record labels, the German (Frankfurt) based "Planet Core Productions". The typeface was seen on many of their vinyls and cds as well as various other stuff. It originated back in 1992 and was custom made by Paul Nicholson for Planet Core Productions.
This is the ANGEL DUST style variation for F.F.M. and this version features an entirely different font, but sourced from that same record label.
The main purpose for the digital recreation of the label's typefaces is to supplement in the creation of Planet Core Productions related literary scribings. The typefaces are the property of Planet Core Productions and were originally designed by P. Nicholson.
Cheers
Another tribute to the great Dutch graphical designer/pioneer "Jurriaan Schrofer".
This time I didn't do a straight foreward recap of a specific work from the great man, but rather had myself inspired by a number of his sketches and combined those ideas all into this type! (Nonetheless ofcourse still heavily inspired by..)
Here are a few of the original works I drawn inspiration from:
"A.S.C. COMMUNICATIONS, SEMINOTICS, SIGNAGE SYSTEM PTT 1975 (Dutch Post Office) , BEURS VAN BERLAGE, UNREADABLE ALPHABET"
This is a clone of STF_JS-SANS SEVERE (MULTILINE)A piece of constructivism inspired by Dutch artistic movement "De Stijl".
This is a clone of STF_FABRICON_(OUTLINE)BOXCUTTER is a squarish and heavy-weight display typeface that is straight in your face. Beveled to make the fella slightly less agressive.
It's pixel optimized as well and it comes in uppercase and small uppercase characters only!
Another (large) set of brick composites.
There are most likely a number of duplicate bricks, not inside this collection itself, but when cross-referenced with todays earlier published collection there most likely are! Nonetheless I think they shouldn't be pulled from the project and should remain included in this collection as well.
All the bricks are saved in "MY BRICKS" pallet.
=============================================
The idea for this was to encourage new Fontstruct users into looking past the editors limitations and work-arounds by way of demonstrating some hands-on examples and ideas. I hope this might inspire people to build upon these ideas and make their own sets of composites for their fonts.
The collection isn't a one stop shop for custom composites, but rather just a random useful set of bricks. To peek inside the stacked composite layout and find out how it was build enable "Expert Mode" inside the editor and press "o" on the keyboard, this switches the editor to "Outline" view mode.
If you like to request specific composite configurations, have ideas for A future update or simply having a question, just let me know in the comment section.
Thats it for now, the project is cloneable, feel free to copy, (re-)use, abuse, expand and /-or redistribute, Enjoy!
Cheers
This is a cloneStyle variation in the "STF_CONNECTED SQUARES v2" typeface family.
---------------------------------------------------------
A remastered version of "CONNECTED SQUARES". A previous recap I did from the work of late great dutch graphic designer "Jurriaan Schrofer".
This time I made a much more accurate version. I also added uppercase letters and some extra punctuations.
Enjoy!
