A work in progress. Quite simply a pixel modern roman typeface. The yogh (ȝ) I have designed as a mix between x and g. I thought of it as a latin letter gamma (ɣ) to distinguish it from the greek letter gamma (γ), but maybe it would do better as an insular g (ᵹ). What do you think?
I have gone with a classic seriffed look for the greek letters. I have looked a lot at Times New Roman to see the stress of the different characters. Do my solutions work?
Oh, and about the name: "Sprogreolen" is Danish for 'The Language Shelves', the pun being that "Bogreolen" would be 'The Bookcase' or 'The Book Shelves'.

I suddenly had a lot of time on my hands, which resulted in this font. The initial idea was to make a font inspired by the (handwritten?) signs in retail stores, but it quickly took a turn for the more comic.

Gorgeous, isn't it? This is a reproduction of a cross-stitch pattern from the French series of embroidery books "Maison Sajou". It dates to around the turn of the 20th century. After seeing such a beautiful, ornate pattern, I just had to convert this one to a font, a process that took several months.
The design is made of intricate flower buds, stems, leaves, and check patterns. The design of the letters is similar throughout the pattern, however no two letters have exactly the same layout (for example, flower buds are facing a slightly different angle). Each letter is intertwined with a branch that winds its way up the letter, and features representations of leaflets and berries.
The 'I' and 'W' were not present in the original design. 'J' doubles as 'I' and 'W' is a rotated 'M'. While I would love to make up numerals based on the current letters, it would be a daunting task as each letter is about a 100x100 size grid. Anyone is welcome to clone this font and give it a shot.
This pattern was found on http://patternmakercharts.blogspot.com/2010/11/sajou-no-601.html . There are lots of Sajou and other embroidery patterns there.

A recreation of a cross stitch pattern I found on Pintrest and originally from the Hungarian cross stitch site qtp.hu.
Thanks to elmoyenique who designed the "I" and "Y" glyphs, which were not present in the original.

This one was a long time in the works. If you liked Knutz and Boltz you'll really dig this one. Probably no numbers or extra characters to come I'm afraid. The caps were a ton of work alone. Enjoy.

I've worked on this for quite a while. I could only finish it now with the help of composit bricks.

A basic design principle, namely to emulate newspaper headline type. A few details to be worked out, but it's pretty much there. Seems to work well at all sizes.

More characters to come... it took me longer than expected to get this far. Includes some (barely noticeable) ink-traps and slight variations in line-width in places to maintain optical balance.
