Presenting Paramount Pictures and Ocean's Addams Family, released in 1991. This font is based on movies, especially this font is similar to Parasol Stars, which was created by Patrick H. Lauke (redux).
This is a clone of Parasol Stars (NES)IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS FONT IS NO LONGER BEING WORKED ON. I HAVE A BIGGER FONT TO WORK ON FOR THE TIME BEING.
YOU ARE FREE TO CLONE AND FINISH THIS FONT IF YOU WANT.
Finally done. Phew! It took two days to make this. This is a full collection of 5×7 Dot Matrix characters as seen on many devices, like Texas Instruments calculators. A lot of these are custom. Sources include TI-83, TI-86, TI-89, Casio Monochrome Graphing Calculators, Casio fx-115ES PLUS, and the rest, I created them myself. I included fractions for those themes on Microsoft Office don't have matching "1/3" and other fractions with the "1/4", "1/2", and "3/4". The fullwidth characters are substitutes for the other characters in the regular style, such as the math "x" and "y" from Casio.
Please note that character sets like Arabic and some Math Operators are beyond 5×7 pixels. If you want to know why? Because Arabic is very big and if I put it all in 5×7 pixels, the text will look weird, won't really fit inside, and there would be no point to it. I left it as is. Roman Numerals cannot fit if you were doing the "VIII" character, for example.
Enjoy!
8/28/2019: Font created.
1/7/2020: Added characters in the following form: Fullwidth and Halfwidth are used for making TI-73 Explorer characters, plus actual monospace setting characters. Note that Runic, Tagalog, and Hanunoo are replaced with character variants. The last variation of a character is from Minecraft's font. The fractions are also changed to level the line spacing. The wide "M" is never ever for use on Monospacing.
1/8/2020: More variations are added, extended to replace Buhid. I also added other math symbols and more. To type x̄, press unicode shortcut and type 01b2. To type ȳ, press unicode shortcut and type 01b3. I also added over a hundred, or two hundred, more characters to stock up on the font. Oh and I changed the filters to separate the pixels for a more pixel and retro look. Also fixed the spacing on the "Щ" character.
9/8/2020: Added a bunch of more characters to the font set.
8/25/2023: fixed the license so that the download works now.
Presenting Nintendo's Clu Clu Land (aka. Vs. Clu Clu Land/Welcome to the New Clu Clu Land), released in 1984 for the NES, FDS and Arcade and 1988 for the FDS. This font is similar to Donkey Kong Classics. This font is part of Nintendoid. and This game is a part of Animal crossing, which was titled (Clu Clu Land D, aka. Clu Clu Land Disk).
This is a clone of Donkey Kong Classics (NES) (Extended)Presenting Nintendo's Devil World, released in 1984. This font is based on Nintendoid. But in 1987, it was released by Konami on Arcade. This font is the same to Hogan's Alley.
This is a clone of ExcitebikePresenting Taito's Elevator Action, released in 1983, or MCMLXXXV. This font is similar to Space Cruiser, which was created by Patrick H. Lauke, Elevator Action returns is now available on Nintendo Switch. They cannot guess which year was released in the NES and Famicom.
This is a clone of Space CruiserPresenting Nintendo's Excitebike (aka. Vs. Excitebike), released in 1984 for the FC, NES and Arcade, and 1988 for the FDS. This was based on Excitebike Series. This font is a part of Nintendoid 1.
This is a clone of Nintendoid 1It's the fancy cursive font from "resource2.dat" from Cube World. Turns out, its actually the 'Venice' font by Susan Kare & Bill Atkinson from the original classic Macintosh, so I've added all the remaining characters from the original font which the cube world version didn't have.
Cube World is Copyright 2010-2019 Picroma e.K.
Another Commodore character set. From Summer Games II's Fencing event, this is the font that appears on the computer terminal. Upper case, digits and full stop only. It's also correctly monospaced as the terminal is meant to be an early 1980s machine. G and Q will touch adjacent characters, that's by design.
Fell back on this as I want to work with curves BUT they're kind of limited. I work in 1x1 pixel space but I want a curve that can span a 2x2 space. At the moment Fontstruct doesn't let us scale a brick up in size, only downward (i.e. composite bricks)... so the only curves you can do, your letters look like rounded rectangles.
Presenting Acclaim and System 3 Software's Ferrari Grand Prix Challenge, released in 1992. This font is similar to Addams Family and Parasol Stars.
This is a clone of Addams FamilyThis is a faithful recreation of the original font used in the SNES RPGs developed by Quintet. There is already a popular font based on the game called Lunchtime Doubly So, but that one has none of the special characters used in the European localizations of the game, and also none of the original Japanese characters.
This trademark Quintet font appears in all their SNES RPGs (namely Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, and Terranigma), but with many little differences depending on the game at hand. Gaiatype is a recreation of the Terranigma typeface variant, to be exact, with its own spacing and character set.
Featuring all the European diacritic and extra glyphs as well as a complete set of all the hiragana and katakana characters from the original version of the game, called Tenchi Souzou in Japan, this marks my most extensive font to date with over 760 glyphs in total.
The base font size and recommended setting for Gaiatype is 16pt and multiples of that. Use metric kerning and no additional smoothing effects for the ultimate Terranigma experience.
Terranigma on the SNES, known as Tenchi Souzou in Japan, was developed by Quintet and released by Enix in 1995.
~ Gaiatype - created by Caveras after the original font used in Terranigma for the Super Nintendo. ~
C64 character set for Gauntlet and The Deeper Dungeons (DD) games. Found a few odd characters that don't get used in the game, and others only used in DD for when the player's picked up a hidden potion (e.g. extra armour, extra shot strength).
I found a font rip from "Footballer of the Year" and the upper case letters were identical to Gauntlet, so I took the lower case ones and added them. Have called it "Gauntlet Potion" as "Gauntlet Deeper Dungeons" was too long. I don't really care for the lower case letters that much... it's here if anyone wants it for variety.
This is a clone of GauntletPresenting SNK Electronics's Ikari Warriors, released in 1986. This font was recreated by Patrick H. Lauke.
This is a clone of Ikari WarriorsCharacter set from Impossible Mission loading screen on the Commodore 64. Original contained glyphs for A-Z capitals and digits 1984 only.
Have used some of the angular blocks to create smoother characters, while using the original pixelled versions for lower case. This could do with some extra work to improve it, if anyone else wants to have a go then feel free to clone it :)
This is a clonePresenting Capcom's Mega Man (aka. Rockman,) released in 1987 for the Famicom and NES. This font is similar to Mega Man 2, NOT similar to Ducktales. This was all started on the series.
This is a clone of Mega Man 1+2Presenting Capcom's Mega Man 2, released in 1988. This font was same to ducktales. Even though it's similar to Mega Man. This was the second game on the series.
This is a clone of Mega ManPresenting Capcom's Mega Man 3 (aka. Rockman 3: Dr. Wily no Saigo?!), released in 1990. This font is not similar to Mega Man 3+4, but it is similar. This was based on Mega Man Series.
This is a clone of Mega Man 3+4Presenting Capcom's Mega Man 5 (aka. Rockman 5: Blues no Wana?) released in 1992. This font is the same to Mega Man 3+4, and almost similar to Mega Man 3. This was based on Mega Man Series.
This is a clone of Mega Man 3+4Presenting Gametek and Gremlin's Nigel Mansell's World Championship Racing, released in 1993. This font is similar to Addams Family, Parasol Stars and Ferrari Grand Prix Challenge.
This is a clone of Ferrari Grand Prix ChallengePresenting Ascii's Penguin-kun Wars (aka. Penguin Wars), released both consoles in 1985: NES and Arcade. This font is similar to Penguin Wars.
This is a clone of Penguin WarsA fairly obscure video game font for you, this being the serifed font from thte 'Puyo Puyo' series of video games (if that name sounds unfamiliar, these games were reskinned in North American and released as 'Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine' and 'Kirby's Avalanche'.)
The base alphabet, numbers, and several punctuation are all authentic to the game (the inverted ? and ! are always easy to make, which is why I always include them, even if not a part of the game proper). However, there's plenty of custom glyph work here with the punctuation and the accented lettering.
Enjoy!
Presenting Carolco Pictures, Carolco and Pack-In-Video's Rambo, released in 1987 (or 1985 and 1988). This font is similar to Predator (NES). This font based in movies, which was completely moved to the Rambo Series. This is similar to Nintendoid font, which was created by Patrick H. Lauke, of the particular.: the lowercase, custom numbers and the sexy ampersand are worth pointing out here. And Rambo does not have japanese fonts so; this font is similar to Predator (NES) (Complete).
This is a clone of Predator NESRecreaction of the in-game font from Koei's strategy games Nobunaga's Ambition and Romance of the Three Kingdoms. This includes a basic (but slightly incomplete) set of hiragana and katakana glypns. Aside from my usual inclusion of smart quotes and inverted ! and ?, this is a straight glyph dump.
What a horrible night to have a font!
This font adds upon the font "Castlevania 2" by Patrick Lauke. I am a coder, and simply can't use fonts without their having all the necessary symbols. I did this very quickly, and it may be inaccurate or imbalanced so feel free to take it and remix it yourself!
Another video game font, this one taken from Tad Corporation's 1989 arcade game 'Toki'; this same font would be used by Tad in the 1990 game 'Blood Bros.' Aside from smart quotes and the inverted question and exclamation marks, this is a straight glyph dump.
