Here at Marengi Omnisystems, we like to put a twist on the ordinary. Consider the plus sign. Normal plus signs have four termini. But, after dozens of minutes of modification, the plus sign can be transformed into myriad other shapes, all of which are even pointier than the original. Don't Worry, No Frankenplusses Here! These are actually organic, free-range, grass-fed plus signs that we chopped up and glued together. Don't you wish all stories could end so happily?
A font made by request for a certain Augmented Reality Game.
It is a functional blueprint - not meant to be used as-is, but designed to be embellished. Color it in, put effects on it, or whatever else you want. In this way the font can remystify itself and achieve distinctive looks which require particular art techniques to reach.
My attempt to do something different with Structurosa.
With such a small grid and such a distinctive look, it was hard to alter the concept without turning it into something else. The fact that I didn't bother looking at any references save for the FS logo itself probably didn't help. Out of all my experiments, I thought this one looked the best and most original, so here it is.
A continuation of ideas present in Technokratz, with some imagination added for good measure!
This creates new ambigrams and ambiguous words. Here are a few that I found:

Since I like this ambiguity so much, I will keep working to make letters resemble other letters even more! The real trick is finding these synergies while still preserving enough variability in forms that things can still be read flawlessly.

An experimental design which calls to mind medieval wattle-and-daub houses, round windows, targeting reticles, quadratic cheese wheels, and the math equations of the mad.
It's named for Ione Falstin, daughter of Rhoen, a character from one of my own stories who came up with the idea which was later refined into the mathematical concept of "Falstin's Demon".
The preview is not kind to this one, but I rather like the weathered effect it provides. It helps the font's intended aesthetic.
A cipher used by robots in my game "Anime Girls vs. The Cavemen". It's a way for robots to communicate in plain sight without organic lifeforms suspecting anything.
The robots are repositioning the dials on electronic devices (including themselves), and the dial positions are being used to encode information which can be read off by other robots. The same is true of the VU meters, indicator bars, etc. - the robots adjust a device's parameters until the meters are operating within a given range.
The actual mapping of symbols to glyphs is scrambled in every game. Additionally, the robots speak to each other using a language that resembles Assembly. It's up to you to scramble these when coming up with your own cipher...
Since the original art style for this game used chicken-head style knobs on the electronics, this gets the amusing name "Chicken Head Cipher".

A 5x5 design inspired by architecture, geometric design principles, and terracing. Many letters look precarious - only a good architect could build structures that balanced so well.
Despite having achieved a satisfactory and distinct look with this, I'm not sure if Architecture is the best motif for it... it may evolve more...
Here we have a font made from hand-polished hipsterite rocks found only in the depths of the River Styx. These are the most expensive and most pretentious rocks you can find anywhere. This font is their punishment for existing.

This is based on rounded rectangles, which have been the subject of a few conversations and in-jokes between friends. Because the rounded areas are rather small, this font needs to be a fairly large size to present the full effect.
A skeletal design related to Candylander, Nyandotte, Straplander, etc. This one works as a stencil and reminds me of dazzle camouflage! There's also a plain version of this which looks much neater and less harsh, but I like this one more.

A "hullaballoon" is a person who stores up spite/malice/controversy/etc. and then suddenly releases it all at once, like a deflating balloon. Also, the name of one of the many joke bands I created.
A font made for a friend who 3D prints custom NERF mods. This will be used in several product designs.
This font is also referred to internally as "Jackhammer", because it was first used in the field on a NERF mod inspired by the Pancor Jackhammer.
An inverted alternate version of Spiderling that's glitch-free... for now, at least!
I think this doesn't look nearly as spider-like as the original... your mileage may vary...
This is something I've doodled on for a while. I'd like to incorporate shapes other than triangles and rectangles into this but I'm just too busy with other projects. Feel free to continue it, make it better, or whatever.

Tribal doodle thing. Still in its experimental phase. It's named for Abraxas, a Tromp from the PC game "Commander Blood". (As it turns out, the same name has many historical and mythological uses.)
