Celtic calligraphy font with spiral detailing inspired by the triskelion symbol. The concept behind the symbol and therefore the typeface is of rebirth - and more specifically the cycle of life, death and rebirth - symbolised by the spiral motifs.

This is my first fontstruction, created whilst studying graphic design at UWE Bristol. I experimented using script brushes and calligraphy on Procreate and also tried to incorporate some of my own handwriting to make it more personal. The font is blocky and cursive to represent how people see hope and good in the bad. Our paths in life are never smooth sailing.

Finally, after hours and hours of work, I completed this font. Hope you enjoy typing with this "masterpiece". Inspiration from Boomville 2.0.0. Update 2: Redownload the font for improvements in letters and a new feature I'm trying out called "Kerning!" I'm not going to implement this to any other font but if you all really want me to, I could. Just let me know down in the comments and I'll begin working on it.

It is finally done! It took me around 3 full days of design work and polishing.

The major character design part is about done, and I probably will only add some additional extra ligatures and special characters.

The design approach is a large grid Faux Bezier style to get the most out of custom shaping Top/bottom grid scale is a total of 71 bricks with ascenders and descenders included.

I have done a whole lot of finalizing background work already, and many pairs have been kerned already, but not everything was done yet, this is going to be completed within the next few days.

- Littera Textualis Emergo -

A formal Gothic minuscule that was inspired by Latin bookhand script, better known as 'Textualis'. This script was popular between the 12th & 16th century. Basically Those that would have been used for the main text of Latin books.

Inspired by a post on Margaret Shepherd's blog.  "Stiffen" is the name she gave it, and it's built with a 30-degree tilt on the pen.

"This completely rectilinear alphabet conveys a strong, heavy, almost machine-made effect."

No caps but I can't see why I couldn't add caps later.

Found this curious looking letter set on Margaret Shepherd's calligraphy blog.  It's blocky enough that it could be done here.  Too many diagonals towards the end of the alphabet, and my attempt at numerals and punctuation was ordinary at best.  However, might be a good heading font for something literary or library in nature.

Just showing some new-ish work. Made in memory of my favourite aunt. The UC "O" size is 13x25 px. This font doesn't use filters.
