While looking for a pixel font, I came across Pumpkin Font by SparklyDest. I liked it, but also noticed some inconsistencies and a lot of missing characters that I needed. Although I could have simply chosen another font, I instead decided to rework the original to adapt it to my needs.
OBJECTIVES
·My primary goal is to create all the Latin characters as well as the Google Fonts basic. This will already take me some time, but once done, I may consider working on other alphabets.
·My first task was to adjust letters height and width for a more consistent font. I did my best to ensure that characters within the same category have a uniform format, and when this proves difficult to achieve, I strive to get as close as possible.
·I might revisit characters that I already made. I'm learning as I create, and I may identify modifications to make gradually. If you have any ideas or advice, please feel free to share!
DONE
·Basic Latin
WORKING ON
·More Latin
·Extended Latin A
·Extended Latin B
·Even More Latin
A pixel perfect recreation of the PDP-11 terminal font, including Cyrillic characters from the Elektronica 60 in case you want to recreate the original Tetris ;) Note that the Terminal stretches the font vertically by 200%
This is a cloneMy first font attempt.
Based out of "Video Tape", this font emulates VCR bitmaps.
This is a clone of Video Tape(Credit to Paradigm The Great for the original typeface.)
This is the second font I've made so far and currently my "dream font", if such a thing like that exists.
I've never seen a typeface with a capital R, S, and number 4 like this one, as the only one I've come across by the beginning of August 2023 would be "Videotape", however even that would be misaligned and wonky. This font is the sequel to my first font, "Tracking Knobs", but with more glyphs and lowercase letters.
This is a clone of CHARGEN '92Clone of Ancient Braids extended to support new symbol sets.
This is a clone of Ancient BraidsRecreation of "Normal Centipede" from CPFONTS.FON, included in Microsoft Arcade from 1993.
The original font seems to have been intended to be capital letters and numbers only, with what appears to be poorly-resized bitmaps from a different font in the rest of the character set. Some, especially the punctuation, were literally illegible. So I hope you'll forgive me that this isn't a 100% faithful recreation.
