I've never before done a script so I thought that the Scriptcomp would be a good place to show it off. A extremely curved spript, containing numbers and general punctuation. And no, I will not do uppercase.
P.S: There's a 'r' alternate on the grave accent.

After looking at several examples, this is my interpretation of a 16 Segment alphabet, an expansion of my Curved Seven Segment experiment. Hopefully a little more elegant than the traditional "sharp-angled" versions. The interior diagonals are not as nice as I would like, but suitable for this project.

Hopefully a little more elegant than the traditional "sharp-angled" versions. Limited to hexadecimal values (A-F, a-f, 0-9), the decimal point (period .), and the colon (:).

Clone of Curved Seven Segment. A variant of my previous font: the lower left segment now matches the other three corners, allowing for a symmetrical design of hexdecimal letters. The font Flomotion is the outcome to my first semester at UWE, studying Graphic Design. The task was to create a full typeface on the font building website, fontstruct.com. The final design had to relate to a chosen theme, my chosen theme for this project was Motion in which I pursued the subject of optical illusions. I liked the idea of trying to create a false sense of movement with a font, taking inspiration from existing optical illusions with the same effect. This then led me to look at the 'Op' art movement of the 1960's, in particular the extensive work of Bridget Riley. Her use of black and white line giving the illusion of depth had a big influence on my work and I think my final design reflects this.

This typeface was inspired after researching into what the word fluid could mean. I looked into the form of liquid state and how it moved. I tried to replicate this with drawings but then had trouble replicating it in fontstruct. I think that this typeface is useful only for large scale use as its creates a dazzle when small, and is also only in capitals.

Here's "VUVUZELA"
A typeface inspired by the continent of africa, but mainly by the WorldCup of soccer 2010 in South Africa!
To catch on of the strongest associations for me relating to africa, i chose black and white stripes, maybe to remind of zebras or other animal patterns. But the effect also stands for the "swoosh" of a ball flyin by, for just the the "sporty" feel i wanted it to have.
