Inspired by the cursive aesthetic from pauldhunt's lovely Structurosa Script. I tried to play around with the kerning so there's the illusion of a continuous line.

I had wanted to come up with a cursive-styled font using only rather basic lines and curves, so this is what I came up with. While it's not a "proper" cursive (not many character pairings have a traditional flow), it does have some cursive-style mannerisms.
Enjoy!
UPDATES:
* 2014.05.30: To take advantage of FontStruct's new nudge feature, all glyphs with curved tops and bottoms have been adjusted.
* 2013.05.07: Altered the positioning of the superscript 1, 2, and 3; realigned the already esiting 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 fraction characters; added new fraction characters; added complete set of numeric superscript and subscript characters; modified the "f combination" ligatures for more consistency.
* 2013.05.20: The tildes have been corrected. I don't know why, but they somehow looked like backwards Ns instead of what they should look like. Additionally, I made a small alteration to the lowercase V character to make it look equally uniform to the other lowercase characters.
* 2013.05.26: Added some letterlike characters to the mix.
* 2013.05.28: More edits, but this time, I've gone ahead and added a few touches to make most -- not all -- of the lowercase letters flow into each other. I was flirting with the concept of having the bars of the lowercase Ts linked to the other lowercase characters, but thought against it (especially since I'm planning on expanding the character set even further).
* 2013.06.04: Slight touch-ups. Slight alterations made to the Ç (uppercase C cedilla) and ç (lowercase c cedilla). Added ligatures for "dz", "ij", "lj", and "nj", as well as some new currency symbols. Moved the Won sign into the appropriate position.

Yesterday afternoon I was sipping Coke on a sunny terrace and thinking about life, and the universe, when an idea came out of the blue about a new stencil font. The idea was so simple, I almost felt ashamed not having it much earlier. Back home I started to work on it, and created the first set of letters. It's a work in progress, fraught with imperfections, including the usual spacing-kerning problems. Remolino is a Spanish word for vortex. This is a clone

My first attempt at a script font. Did you know that out of over 4000 fontstructions, there are only 40 in the category at this time? That's like 1%. Here's to increasing the percentage. Hopefully I'll be able to do an uppercase. This is a clone

Ever have one of those fonts that you just have to get out of your system because it's there in your list, taunting you in until you finish it? This is one of those. Someone's likely done something like this before, but I just needed to see if I could do it. I did... and I even managed to keep my lunch down. As with most sugary sweet confections, this is best in small portions. This is a clone

This my recreation of my own handwriting fontstructed with a vertical line/stripe pattern (I know it's bad calligraphy, but don't tell Claude Dieterich I did it, please).
I used a fountain pen 1.1mm stroke to get my samples written down in order to have a basis.
My UC leans slightly to the left and my lc to the right; must be the graffiti influence from way back in the day.
No wonder I only type nowadays...

My personal handwriting when i use Felt tip calligraphy pens (the cheap ones) as my daily writing pen, These are the most common letters I write with, there are many other variants, but the forms i chose worked best on Fontstruct. There are Numbers (and maybe other language writing systems like Cyrillic, Katakana, Hiragana.

Little experiment of mine, trying to design a script font that really connects all the letters. As you might guess from the quality of the uppercase, I started with lowercase and had quite some trouble finishing the uppercase... And I know there are (obviously) always the connection strokes peaking out at the end any word, but funnily this imperfect look has started to grow on me during the fontstructing.
I also know there are still lots and lots of inconsistencies and letters that badly need a rework, but I thought the constructive criticism of my fellow fonstructors might be more helpful and efficient at improving this... So I'm grateful for any suggestions!:)
Oh, and yes: The kerning is very painful at times, but I can't see how I can improve that under the constraints of the script and the character forms. And obviously the script thing doesn't work with uppercase only text.

Clone of slubgob.
I saw some stringy potential dyed in the wool of intaglio’s original and tried to draw it out. First I added one brick to the x-height; second I added little connecting, er, nubs for a very tightly spaced continuous script. From there, I was basically done, but then had very little restraint and took it to this point, which is now sort of a mishmash of styles (let’s just go ahead and rule out all caps settings right here and now ;)
I am hoping one of y’all fontstructors will chime in with the next version that really knits the job up all nice like! Or, barring that, I will try to tighten it up and continue to defer all praise to intaglio.
Edit [12/10/09]: After receiving the blessing of intaglio, I added More Latin and the first half of Extended Latin A. This fontstruction is nearing its final stitches, however I still welcome suggestions and additions. As seen in my samples below, it seems to work well with a rounded outside stroke. Be forewarned: Approximately -10 tracking and some manual kerning are a must to properly render the connected script effect. Enjoy! : )This is a clone of slubgob
