This is my fonstruction based on the theme protect. I decided to go with the topic of glass. I was thinking about the different materials surrounding protection and thought glass suited the idea best as it protects many things in our everyday lives. I experiemnted with this topic by looking at the different types of glass and how they could be smashed or broken. I took and image of a broken wine bottle and tried to make the letters look like those specific pieces.

**This font is still a work in progress**
Smash Me Again is inspired by broken glass. I traced around an image of broken glass molded in to a word and used is as my basis to create this font. It might not look exactly like broken glass, however, that was only the inspiration.
This font was created for and as part of my UWE graphic design course, this is my first font which is why it has several flaws, and is far from perfect. Feedback would be appriciated. Thanks!

I produced this typeface as a part of a UWE project. I started by exporing the word dangerous, where I moved onto the topic of fear. This lead me to a fear of heights and ultimately glass and the way it smashes. This broken glass typeface is shattered as if hit directly and smashed into shape. I wanted it to look more unorganised so the smash seemed more natural. I didn't want the pieces to fit the shape of the letter form but I also didn't want you to be unable to read the letter so I felt like this was a good middle ground between the two. This typeface is to be used as a title font rather than text font.

02/08/17: Thanks to the new Kerning feature, a separate "r" is no longer required. Also made the rings a little rounder and fixed the rings on U and u.

I started off looking at the word 'curves' and after generally looking at spirals and curved objects I decided to make the letters themselves curve. I cut the letter 'A' out of black cardboard and placed it in a glass of water, and then photographed it at many different angles and positions. I really liked the distorted effect the water had on the letters, and so after changing the theme to 'reflection' I carried on this technique with the rest of the alphabet. 'Pane in my glass' is made up of my favourite shapes that came out of this experimentation.

Part of my "Found Type" project at UWE where we had to design a font for a theme that we chose. I chose Saintly. Throughout my research, I looked at the architecture of churches, the similarities in there designs and how certain shapes could easily be recognised as being linked to that type of architecture. I then started looking at Dante Alghieri's Divine Comedy and the illustrations by John Flaxman and Gustav Doré. At first it became difficult trying to figure out how to implement this into a font, but then I took on a challenge, Would it be possible to get Doré's engravings into the font. Then another thought crossed my mind, how do images look when compressed to low pixel quality sizes and how they are still recognisable. So I did that, I bought a book of Doré's illustrations for the divine comedy, and they started to build into the letters. Each letter also has this Art Deco like area to it which went well for the Stain Glass Window approach I also wanted in the design. It took a lot of practice to get this right, and there was a fair amount of copy and pasting here and there but overall I'm quite happy with the turn out. I hope you all enjoy!

I collected lots of photos of the best windows to work with, and developed these into letter forms. I then edited them until they worked as a consistent typeface. I think Windowstruct would work well for logos or posters, as it looks best as single words or in a large size.

Influenced by shattered glass and the idea of 'ordered chaos', I created a type that would appear to be both legible and illegible. Looking at certain geometric shapes I focussed on how a letter could be 'pulled' apart into something completely different and chaotic.

Bubblemania! Named after a bubble tea/wing restaurant in Calgary. It's been on the back burner for a while. I wanted to fill out the "More Latin" set a little more, but I think it's ready to be released. If I have time, I'll add more characters. Also, it's quite pixel-friendly. Check it out. "Construction Kit" available on the swung dash (~) so you can make your own bubbles :)

Clone of "scratch me if you can". “Scratching” is a form of vandalism apparently derived from sprayed graffiti, in which tags are scratched into windows (usually), mostly of public transportation vehicles and street furniture. This phenomenon has apparently begun in the early 1990s. In Germany, scratching is especially prevalent in Berlin, Munich and the whole Ruhr-Area where literally no public transportation train car is without scratched windows, despite traffic companies spending 12 million € on repairing and exchanging scratched windows in 2005 alone. During the 2006 FIFA World Cup, numerous visitors complained about the scratched windows." -wikipedia done with a much finer needle :DThis is a clone of FS Scratch me if you can
