Just an octagonal sans-serif design that I kept working on here and there.
"Are ya EVIL?" - Racer X, "Evil Joe"
A font I designed for the animation series, "The Boris Barkov Show". This is made to look blocky and industrial, but still fairly modern. It's mostly built on a 5x5 grid, and is perfectly useable as a pixel font, but is meant for high-res applications.
The show's titlecards only use this font in uppercase. But, I designed a lowercase for the sake of accessibility.
The show is about a stereotypically Russian, mustachioed, ushanka-wearing pug named Boris Barkov. Apart from speaking both English and Russian, he's able to play the video game "Escape From Tarkov", wield a sword and rifle, and carry and throw objects despite his lack of opposable thumbs. His nemesis is PugB (the Americanized "Rambo" pug) and he's rumored to have shady dealings with Sam Yippington, the Latvian Dachsund arms dealer...
GS Unicode is a project I worked on over the course of several years so (almost) all languages get support! With 14,564 non-spacing characters, this font is finished (as of Unicode 13.0, and as of FS's pre-July 2021 glyph inventory). Please tell me if some of the characters aren't working. I'll try to fix them as best as I can!
This font will no longer be updated except in the case of fixing errors. I'm now working on GS Unicode 2.0, a non-pixelated(!) font that uses FS's current (all of Unicode!) glyph inventory, and is set to take much, much longer....
...so I'll see y'all on the other side~
For my weaving website I wanted a novel font. So here is FRIVOLITE, the shape is based on the beautifully shaped shuttle used for hand weaving. Indeed the O and 0 and @ show perfectly the shuttle shape. The other glyphs were made to fit (as far as reasonable) into this specific shape. I know that frivolité is knotting rather than weaving, but this shuttle shape can be found in weaving, too. An alternate N and Z is on 'extended Latin B'.
***Did you see the HORNS?***
Playing around with octagonal shapes. One child of this phase was "Zapotek", which Xenophilius mentioned completely right. Another one, beside some others , is this one. Somewhere in the back of my head this is inspired by the wonderful "fs Kronos" by will.i.ૐ. Not so much in it's look, but in it's heroic, oldfashioned feel. The feel it's purpose is decorating an epic fantasy novel :) I hope the upcoming sample can make this clearer. Enjoy
