This is a clone of bootlegger-speakeasyA winning, small-matrix rendition of this super-elliptical monoline sans. If you’d like, please enjoy a private clone to tour the brand-spankin’ new interiors.
I embraced innovation at the expense of imperfection with faux-curve composite stacks. These custom bricks are used to resolve the most glaring proportion issues besetting version 1 (and 2’s) capitals. I risk intermittent aliasing as well as potential inconsistencies in both curvature and stroke contrast. Yet these composite-stack discontinuities (A,C,D,G,J,O,Q,S,U,V) marry unexpectedly well with the extensively used macaroni bricks and remain themselves smooth up to an impressive 72pt.
Manual kerning leaves a lot of room for improvement. The alternates are included mostly for curiosity’s sake. Another work in progress with samples to follow. Feedback is always very appreciated; thanks in advance for it! :)
This is a cloneA surprisingly modern chunky sans-serif font. Named after the first turn of the German F1 circuit Hockenheim, I didn't initially design this with a name in mind, but I think this would work pretty well in a motorsports context. Expect a serif version soon, it may not be too hard to do.
WORK IN PROGRESS: This Garamond-based pixel font will be the foundation of a full type family in five optical sizes with serif, sans-serif and monospaced serif variants and ornaments. Contains Latin and Greek and ligatures in the Armenian range.
Made for German texts. This means that it will also do English texts ;) In fact it will work for all languages that use the Latin set of letters, numerals, punctuation and symbols in text -- as long as no diacritics and other national specifics are desired.
This is a cloneClone of Font Pixel – a pixel variant of Trade Gothic.
This is the Oblique version of Font Pixel, as Trade Gothic lacks a true italic. The illusion of creating incline out of vertically stacked pixels was mastered by Underware for their typeface Unibody Italic and this heavily influenced Font Pixel OB... Enjoy!
If you do decide to download Font Pixel OB, we'd be chuffed if you emailed us images of it in use, thanks.
